Visited a couple months back and just now giving my review. Literally some of the best cheese curds I’ve ever had in the state of Wisconsin, thoroughly enjoyed my visit!

The guest service is bad at Schmidty's Bar and Restaurant.
We've visited so many times, before and after 1.1.2024, when the new owner took over, OIY.
Bartenders don't listen to their patrons, they make and deliver incorrect beverages, servers tell patrons they have staff call ins, food is average, slow service, tabs incorrect, staff doesn't understand the POS system, etc..
So many better dining options in LaCrosse, WI.

Schmidty's Bar & Restaurant offers great food, especially the batter-fried shrimp and fries. The salad bar is fantastic, and the staff is friendly and attentive. While the interior could use an update, they are known for making the best pan-fried fish. Some customers have had issues with customer service under new management, but many still enjoy the breakfast buffet despite occasional eggshell mishaps. Recent visitors have praised the food as very good and cooked to perfection, with quick service at the bar. The atmosphere is friendly and enjoyable, making it a popular spot for family gatherings and casual meals. The staff consistently ensures guests have everything they need, creating a welcoming environment for all.
