“Had a business presentation here, nice meeting area, the rest of the restaurant looked very elegant and a definite date night vibe. The food was incredible, salad, main dish (steak, salmon, smashed potatoes), and a to die for key lime pie. We had about 20 people and the 3 servers were on top of everything, super pleasant to boot.“
“Went to Buzzard Billy's on Thursday night for a 1st date. I have been going there as the only place I eat downtown La Crosse for years. This visit I tried a dish that consists of a chicken breast with a creamy brown Cajun shrimp sauce with rice. Fulfilling, flavorful but not overpowering. It was a perfect dish of something creamy and Fulfilling without being over powering. The restaurant was on a 45 minute wait so I would recommend calling to reserve a table. My entrée was $18 and filled me up perfectly with extra sauce and rice left over. All of the tables were full but our food arrived within 20 minutes.Definitely recommend!“
“We love this place. I’m not usually a big steak eater, but their ribeye is spot-on. The scallops, shrimp, and seafood specials are always excellent. Garlic bread and mashed potatoes are crave-able. Stiff drinks, and always worth trying to save room for tiramisu. Look forward to trying the ribs soon. I’m always surprised that we only end up spending maybe $20 more for the two of us than we would at some mediocre chain. Make a reservation :)“
“Small resturant with limited menu options that are all excellently prepared. Menu changes frequently so no concern with lack of variety. Entrees include a few pasta, seafood and meat dishes. Usually no vegetarian option but will accommodate by subtracting meat/fish from any entree. Servers are knowledgeable, well trained (properly open a bottle of wine) and friendly. Service is efficient but not rushed.Vegetarian options: Will modify entrees to make vegetarian but no vegetarian offerings the times I have been there.Kid-friendliness: Dinner time not for kids“
“Locally sourced foods.Great coffee.I had the corn meal waffle with pulled pork, cheese, corn, BBQ sauce and jalapeños for lunch. It had really good flavor. I'll be back.Vegetarian options: The menu tells you how to make some choices vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: Kids play area in the corner.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs.“
“We've been going to The Crow every time we're in downtown LAX. The shrimp app is a must!!!! We order 2, one to eat there and one to take home. Just thr right amount of heat. The employees are always friendly and helpful.Local place to visit while in town. Won't be disappointed“
“We ate at The Breakfast Club last weekend. It was very good and highly recommend. Get the donut holes as an appetizer. I think they do them in 6 or 15. Do yourself a favor and go with the higher quantity. You will be disappointed if you don't. All 4 of us got something different for the main course and everyone was very satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again when we go back to the area.“
“Recently had our Xmas party here...phenomenal event. The food!!! The service!!! Everybody I talked to absolutely lived it it's our second year using the restaurant for our Xmas party and sounds like we will be having next year's too.“
“Girls weekend in LaCrosse. Asked our server at a pizzeria on Saturday night for a recommendation for breakfast on Sunday morning. He recommended Rosie's. Old fashioned diner that does a brisk breakfast trade on weekends. Food was good, coffee was excellent and service was friendly and attentive. The pancakes were tinted green (we were there on St Patrick's Day) and were light and fluffy. I like a pancake that's heavier so these were a miss for me but their breakfast sausages and marbled bread toast were exceptional.“
“The food is always top notch. The servers are friendly & efficient. We drive in to eat there, even if we don't have errands in town.Vegetarian options: They usually have at least several vegetarian options,Parking: Unless there is something special going on, the lot is spacious.“
“We love this place. We come to Gunderson regularly and never miss a chance to eat here. The staff is always super friendly and service is really fast. They don't take reservations so sometimes there is a wait, but it's definitely worth it. I highly recommend.“
“Fast and friendly service. Drinks mixed just right. The wings and bacon dynamite onion rings I would highly recommend (without bacon if you do not eat pork like myself). Would give more stars if possible. Prices are very reasonable.Parking: Just a rather tight squeeze to navigate around comfortably, but it's more than sufficient for the establishment.“
“Classic nostalgia food, can't get better than this then a drive in car hop Old skool burger place. The burgers were great, taste like what a burger should taste like. Onions rings - crispy and delicious. Service good as it gets. Chili dog was good, nothing fancy but chili, cheesy and chopped onions. Pork tenderloin sandwich, taste okay, not much flavor besides a pork ground patty bread and slap on sesame bun with lettuce. Overall everything is great, only drawback for s that is cash or check only- no debit or credit cards. They do have an ATM.“
“Neuie's is a Northside gem, their food and team never fail to impress. We have had issues with delivery services (no fault of Neuie's) and they're always incredibly kind and compassionate, you can tell they care about their business. Hat's off to Neuie's Vogue, the best little bar you've probably driven by and definitely should turn around to go back to.“
“Top 10 location for Breakfast in La Crosse. Arguably top 3 for overall breakfast experience. #1 in the area for best breakfast value your money can get.Service is damn fast, food is damn good too. When you get the bill, you'll double take because it's damn cheap.I've only had dinner service only a handful of times. It's serviceable. Breakfast is the reason why you are eating here.Everything on the breakfast menu is great. I routinely eat here at least once a month. Regardless of the day you come in for breakfast, it's always busy. Especially on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (church crowd). You have options to change the menu around to your liking. If you're not a fan of hashbrowns, you can ask to leave it off. Believe me, you'll get a ton of hashbrowns. Everything is coming out hot and fresh.Portions are big. Pancakes, cinnamon rolls, omelettes, skillets, everything is big. If you have a small stomach, you're going to have leftovers. If you're looking for big portions, bigger savings, fast friendly service, and one of the best breakfast spots in the La Crosse area, Family Restaurant is a great time.“
“I was so impressed with how clean this place was. Best taco pizza I've ever had. The atmosphere is so comfortable and relaxing. They always have some event going on or coming up, whether it is Bingo, bands, or volleyball. I love the sampler appetizer with wings, fried mushrooms, cheese curds, jalapeno poppers.“
“Was a fun hangout place to go, axe throwing looked fun, arcade games were good and they had karaoke going too. Drinks seemed cheap enough, didn't have any food so don't know about that. Only thing is it's a little small have to crawl thru people to get to the axe throw area would definitely recommend for something fun to do!“
“We get to the Recovery Room several times per year. My personal favorite menu item is the biscuits and gravy with hash browns. Honestly though, they do a great job with everything. I'm always amazed such delicious stuff comes out of that little kitchen! Their wait staff is so friendly and welcoming. The service is timely too. If you go during breakfast don't pass on the Bloody Mary!“
“We went there for the first time we went there the food was delicious. I like hamburgers, and a little of places have a 3rd pound burger, which is just too big. The Eagles Nest does a quarter pound burger. I recommend going there.Kid-friendliness: Pub atmosphere but respectful to kids.“
“IF in the La Crosse area this is hands down the best steak place. This was recommended by my cousin who had last been there 20 years ago. Have eaten at others like the Freighthouse etc. The steaks here are high quality and cooked correctly. Not a fancy place and the tables are on top of each other but worth it if you like a great steak. Good soup and salad bar were included and were great. They have a nice bar for drinks before or after dinner and the staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable. Whats not to like. Will be back when Im in the area.“
“If we need a quick, tasty meal Culver's is always our go to. The food is tasty and the people have always been nice. They really tried their best during Covid and I applaud them for that- always a good attitude, working quickly, etc. Can't leave without the chocolate custard either!“
“Great side neighborhood bar!! Love their food. The summers are fantastic that you can pull up boat side and sit down on the docks and even in the winter it’s a great time! Great staff, always kind and helpful. I’ve never had a bad time here. Daily specials are delicious as well!Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance/no stairs“
“the service was fabulous absolutely the best in the town and not to mention the bartender was quite the looker The Establishment was very clean and seem to have incredibly happy patrons. myself being the lucky and love for gambling lady that I am of course took advantage of the slot machines and they were a hit as well I suggest stopping in to say hey whenever you get the chance always a good time!“
“Wow, what a neat place. Had a party of 15 between two tables. Accomodations were great and the food was equally great in quantity and taste. During the two hours we were there the place was crowded...which must mean many others enjoy the experience.“
“Have not been there since 2019. Outside and in has deteriorated. Older folk now are the main setting compared to what it was the last time I was there. Waitress was not so attentive but did just enuf. On the bright side, breakfast was superb.“
“Love this place. They have phenomenal food; awesome homemade chicken dumpling soup with salad bar, green leafy salad by the way! & their fried fish are my favorite, with the veggie melt as a close second...and so much more, a great selection of bar grill food. The atmosphere is also lovely and the staff are as friendly as they come. Highly recommend!“
“It's alright. I don't drink so I don't spend much time in bars. It was a pretty laid back crowd with a good band. They also don't seem to mind if you smoke weed there so that's nice. Only four stars because the drive down the bluff after dark sort of sucks.“
“Well done, I rarely give 5 stars across the board but this place earns them. Ethan our server currently enrolled at UW Lacrosse was very good. Ravioli was excellent. Foxglove cabernet is a great choice of wine. A wonderful place and a very nice evening.“
