“Our family came to Howies after my daughter raved about this place. We brought my brother and his daughter with. We got to sit up top so our waitress had to carry our drinks and food to up to us. If you haven’t met waitress Jessica W yet you must! She was a rock star! She kept our drinks full and got our food to us in a timely manner. She was so friendly and we all loved her. The food was dynamite! We loved the appetizers and our main meal. We will for sure be back and will be asking for Jessica again!“

Her recommendations for food & drink were spot on, her personality was wonderful and the food was superb. We will definitely dine here again for the delicious meal & to see Mia again. I even messed up my own order and our server whipped it right back to the kitchen and brought me what I actually wanted to order!!! It was my fault entirely. everything was delicious. “We love Diggers. Best in La Crosse. But a recent trip let us down. The classic bread crack to locals was gone. Fayzes provided it and they closed. Today People’s Food Coop brought Fayzes bakery back. Hoping the wonderful bread is restored!“

“We went there last night for dinner. Natelie was out waitress, and outstanding doesn't even come close to her service. She went above and beyond, she made the whole experience wonderful. “Stayed here for work Sept , Oct and it is just great. The staff is very nice! There is a small pool and a hot-tub glass windows to see the river. Its nice place to sit when its cold. The Bar looks out on the river. Breakfast lunch and dinner with lounge and tv's in the booths. The patio outside is great they have a fire pit and allow smoking. Its a short walk to everything and a short drive to anything. Parking can be a problem in La Crosse its best to walk, ride bike etc. The rooms are nice the location is perfect.“

“Visited on 6.30.2025 and had breakfast before driving to Minnesota and Iowa. After about a 20 minute wait, I finally got served by Amber. The French Toast was excellent. I think a 4 rating is fair considering the restaurant wasn't full and several servers looked at me until Amber took my order. I would definitely eat here again the next time I visit La Crosse, Wisconsin.“

“Very relaxing, everyone so friendly and food was fabulous! We stayed at The Radisson to see the Rotary Lights. After, we went back, freshened up and went downstairs for dinner, very convenient. We asked to be by the windows with a view the lights while we ate but no seats were available and our table was set at a different location, waiting for us to finish our drinks. The gentleman that seated us, moved our table to a window seat that had just opened up without even asking before we went in. We were very impressed that he did this and it made our meal that much more enjoyable. The food was fantastic and would highly recommend. This is our 4th year going there for the lights and we would do it any other way! Enjoy!!!“

“In town for the weekend for State dance competition. Looked for some things to do to fill the gap between times we needed to be at The LaCrosse Center and found this bowling alley! I have a family member who is at Mayo a lot and often stops there for lunch. He loves it and said that its impossible to be in a bad mood there because the staff are so friendly. “We were in on Tuesday at noon.food was delicious as always but the ribs were not as meaty as we always have gotten in previous visits n the chicKen breast seemed smaller. I would rather pay a little more for the meaty ribs cause good golly they are the best. Please go back to the meaty ribs n bigger chicken breasts as we alway get the big garbage can…alway. And of course the bread pudding was fantastic! Do not mind dropping a 100.00 when we come but please meaty ribs not the thinner ribs we received Tuesday..thank you“
