4:30 we had to wait for a table. Waitress came right over to the table to take drink orders even though it says we should order at the bar. Four of us we all have fish. I had 2 pieces of batter fried fish with french fries. Coleslaw was very tasty. Atmosphere was noisy and challenging to hold a conversation.“

Isaac is not a bartender. No, that word is far too small, too pedestrian, too earthbound. Isaac is an experience. A phenomenon. A living sonnet written in citrus zest and perfectly balanced bitters. Watching him work is like observing a symphony where every movement is deliberate, every pour a crescendo, every garnish placed with the reverence of a museum curator handling priceless art. And the drinks? Oh, the drinks. To call them “good” would be an insult of catastrophic proportions. Each sip felt like a heartfelt apology from the universe for every mediocre beverage I’ve ever consumed. Flavors didn’t just complement each other—they conversed. They told stories. I’m convinced one of them knew my childhood memories better than I do. But beyond the drinks, Isaac possesses that rare, almost mythical quality: he makes everyone feel like they are the main character. The bar could be packed, chaos swirling like a poorly made martini (which Isaac would never allow, obviously), and yet somehow, when he speaks to you, it feels like the entire world has politely stepped aside. I went in for a drink. I left with a renewed sense of purpose, a mild existential awakening, and the firm belief that if Isaac ever decided to run for any form of leadership—local, national, or galactic—I would follow without hesitation. Five stars feels insufficient. Five stars is what you give a decent sandwich. Isaac deserves constellations. He deserves entire galaxies carefully arranged in his honor. If you have not yet experienced Isaac at Brothers, I urge you—no, I implore you—correct this immediately. Your future self will thank you. Your taste buds will write poetry about it. And somewhere, somehow, Isaac will already know what you’re going to order.

“Lisa and shannon are amazing! Very laid back bar and friendly people inside! Pool tables and darts, slot machines, pull tabs and kareoke nights for your amusement. Some drinks are kinda over priced but it's a bar what do you expect? Love this place to throw a few cold ones back.“

“Great new staff! Friendly, professional, attentive and the wings were a 10/10! I’ve been coming here for years NEVER has a bartender taken my order and introduced themselves at the same time! Not only did Alex introduce himself to us, he introduced himself so every customer that he helped! Both bartenders were sober, and I didn’t see any other staff taking up seating room at the bar. “I am disappointed to hear that the bar at the La Crosse/Onalaska store (and all Hy-Vee locations) will close April 30. It was managed and staffed very well. This was something that made Hy-Vee unique, and now it will be less so. I guess dropping Wahlburgers was a step in that direction. No thanks to the Corporate Office of Hy-Vee, Inc.“

“Cool place. I love the old musical instruments displayed. Best chicken dumpling soup ever, but the best part by far is the friendly and accommodating staff. I have a family member who is at Mayo a lot and often stops there for lunch. He loves it and said that its impossible to be in a bad mood there because the staff are so friendly. This place is local gem.“

A great beachside, family, pub style vibe. The perfect location with attached accommodation and direct access to the beach and River docking.
The service and staff were amazing... Attentive, smiling, aware, efficient, obliging and energetic.
