This is a very clean and well-appointed small multiplex carved out of the original Portage Theater from the 1920's. I drove from Madison to see the new western, Rust, which was not showing in Madison. It was as other reviewers said: the staff were pleasant and efficient, and the popcorn was good and cheap. The screens are a bit small, but so are the screening rooms, so you can get a nice view. I don't really remember the sound system, but I certainly don't remember any deficiencies in it. This theater is not too far from Madison, and I will remember to use Google movie listings, which happened to capture the showing I went to even though it was 45 minutes away.

Went for the Minecraft premier, bad movie but not cause for the review. The seating that you purchase by the seat Letter and Number, was not at all adhered to. Upon informing a worker that one of my 4 member party's seats were occupied, the worker tried talking to the people. Everybody lies and nothing happened. We were refunded one seat's payment. Should've refunded 2 as the party members shared a seat. This place will deny you the service you pay for. You could not pay me to go back. Why pay by the seat, if you won't enforce the rule? Just sell a spot in the theater. Then it's first come, first served. It's dishonest, and quite frankly theft.
