Cathay Garden | Chinese is a wonderful restaurant with great atmosphere and beautiful decorations. The food is delicious and fresh, with very generous portions. The Mongolian beef melts in your mouth, the Szechuan string beans are super flavorful, and the fried dumplings and teriyaki & honey chicken are amazing. The owners are the most hospitable and friendly, and the staff is very attentive and fast. They are accommodating, granting requests like less hot spice in the Kung Pao Chicken. It seems to be family run. The servings are over the top, and next day leftovers still have plenty of food. It is a new favorite Chinese restaurant, and has not disappointed in 10 years. Highly recommended to anyone living in or passing through Portage, Wisconsin.
