“Wonderful atmosphere and so beautiful. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Tours available.
We dont particularly like sweet wine but their white Prairie Fume is an excellent crisp acidic white on the drier side. Also the red Prairie du Sac is a good red if you like cabernets.
Now..the distillery is AMAZING! We loved the bourbon. Their 10yr (100 proof) is as smooth as silk. We would challenge it with many good Kentucky bourbons. A flight of 3 bourbon choices is about $10 (great deal considering the heavy pours)
Try an old fashioned but ask for it sweet (versus sour) with bourbon..Wow! So good!
The food is excellent!! But note the Bistro is only open for a short time.
Plus, try to go on a Friday in summer when hours are extended for a live music experience.“
