“On a very busy day the staff did an amazing job! Everyone was very friendly, attentive and worked their butts off! Games for the kids, great musician playing, food ready quickly, bartender was amazing! We drove 40 minutes just to come here, no regrets. Highly recommend Birchwood for anyone looking for a wonderful Northwoods bar/restaurant. One of my favorites!“

“It's been awh3ile since we last ate here because we didn't think the food was all that good. We went back last week and was pleasantly surprised. The steak actually had some flavor. The potatoes weren't overcooked. All the food was hot and the drinks were cold. It was a pretty busy place. We didn't have reservations but were seated. By the time we finished eating, the place was full.“

“Can not say enough good things about this place. It was me and a group of 6 teenage girls and we were hungry,it was getting late, had no idea where to eat, and they were so accommodating on getting tables together, helping us out with menu items, and just being awesome. “We travel all over the United States and feel that the tacos at Pat’s Tavern in Rhinelander are the best we’ve ever had. We are from Florida and will go out of our way to stop there on Taco Wednesday if we are anywhere close to Rhinelander. Great atmosphere, friendly people, and tacos are so worth the drive. It’s definitely a 5.0! Yum!“

“It is a small town, up north bar. The staff was very friendly, the beer was cold, and the food was hot, had large portions, and reasonable. One had the roasted chicken, one had the sea food platter, one had the shrimp, and I had a burger. I would definitely go back.“

“First visit was there tonight. Kenny is the owner and a great conversationalist. Quality bar food at an unbelievably low price. $6 for a 1/2 lb cheeseburger....I kid you not. Had a great time visiting with everyone. Long time family owned business.“
