White Stag Inn Reviews
I drove up from Hickory NC to meet some local friends and do some grouse and duck hunting. In my travels, I asked a local to Rhinelander where is the best place to eat. They gladly told me about The White Stag, so I had dinner plans! Upon arrival they were super busy and I had to wait for a few minutes for a table. The staff was so overly attentive to my needs and very friendly. So much so that Tracy even discounted my drink, which was a special of the night, the Brewer...read full review
Second visit in a row with issues. This time no baked potatoes available, which we were not told prior to ordering. Which means a pretty significant part of the the meal is missing. I left hungry. On a $36 steak meal they only took off $2 and gave my husband a free soda. Last time the rare steak that was ordered at our table was completely cooked through. We've been customers since 2007, but we're done.
Hostess is rude and unorganized.

The White Stag Inn is a traditional supper club that offers a unique and charming dining experience, popular among both locals and tourists. Stepping inside feels like a step back in time, with decor and smell that bring back memories for many. The food is cooked over a wood fire grill and served at a table side grill, with exceptional service. The drinks are a delight, and the portions are decent. The restaurant is known for its in-house made dressing and fantastic wedge salad, which is a staple alongside grilled dishes. The steaks, especially the filet-mignon, are praised for their juiciness and deliciousness, highlighting the chef's skills on the fire grill. The pork chops and chicken dishes, like the chicken "done Dave's way," are also noted for their large portions and wonderful flavors. Families enjoy splitting the 9oz brochettes, which come with a baked potato, making it a favorite for kids. The service is friendly, and the prices are considered reasonable, with items like swordfish and onion rings also receiving positive mentions. The White Stag Inn remains a beloved northwoods institution, where guests can enjoy drinks at the bar before seating begins at 4:30, making it a great place to start the evening.
