I thought this was a restaurant so was mildly disappointed when we stepped in. That ended quickly. The bartender was so friendly and made the best Bloody. The homemade pizza was excellent. Definitely stop in if you're in the area!
The pizza ranks up there with the best, and I’ve tried a lot of different pizza’s thru the years. Duddy the owner? I’m assuming. Was very cordial, had some bar games that were fun. The only thing we really didn’t like was the lighting. It was very dark in the area you had to walk thru to go to the bathrooms. Also at the back of the bar were windows the whole length of the bar, and beyond that was the Lake…which once it got dark you couldn’t see a thing. Some sort of...
Visiting Rice Lake for the first time to check out the area to see if we might find a vacation rental that would have us visiting annually. First day arrival and pretty hungry. We hoped to find a restaurant on the lake and to our surprise, there was only one. Hoots doesn't look like much, but we've always found places like this to have great food and friendly people so we gave it a try.
