Fantastic Hidden Gem: you need to check out Bert’s Pub & Grill in St. Francis. It is on S. Lake Drive just south of Howard Avenue. Besides a fantastic Friday Fish Fry… you will love their sandwiches. They have a delicious Cuban, a wonderful Reuben, great burgers, a tasty build your own thin crust pizza, and lots more. The atmosphere is cozy both on the inside and the outside. Solid down to earth spot-especially for a traditional Wisconsin fish fry. Great prices.

Food: spot on. The 3 pc fried cod was one of the best in MKE. Perfectly balanced-not too heavy and a little crispy. Fries were nice and crisp. Best rye bread with a fry I’ve had.

Service: Pretty slow but understandably since they were in the weeds. Don’t come here looking for city-speed service. It would be nice if their paychecks included a QR code...
