This was a bar food kind of place but the fish fry was really good. The potato pancakes were excellent. My husband had a shrimp dinner and he had about 10 large shrimp. The drinks weren't bad either.
A bar and grill sitting right before you jump into the interstae and right across Mitchell International Airport. Great place on Sundays to watch the Packers. They have a buffet for fans to gourmandize on. The chicken fried steak special is very delicious. Bernie, the bartender, is very friendly as local patrons like Al. Great convos spark here easily. They do have a wraparound deck to enjoy the summer time.
Service was a little slow and they were inattentive to our drinks in the back room. Big pet peeve when the food arrives without any silverware or napkins on the table. But when it did arrive, it was hot and delicious all around. We had the beer battered, breaded and baked fish and all were nice thick pieces of fish and tasted really good. The potato pancakes were perfect, with your choice of applesauce or maple syrup. A nice thick slice of buttered marble rye and lemons wedges...
