Definitely make reservations! The food is delicious, nice atmosphere. Wish it were bigger. We went on a Saturday night in a whim. Arrived at 5 thinking we'd beat the rush. Nope. Were told it might be a 1.5 to 2 hour wait. Since we were early we decided to wait. Good drinks in the bar. Thanks to a cancellation we were seated by 5:45. Messina is an unparalleled experience all the way from the welcoming atmosphere to the outstanding meals. I have been here only a handful of times, but every time is just as great as the last. It's clear the staff takes pride and a sense of ownership of the restaurant. Service was outstanding, and I'm still thinking about my meal from last night. I do recommend you get there before 5:30 PM or make a reservation, the tables fill up quickly.

We have been to Messina several times in the past few years, and always are greeted pleasantly, and enjoy the charming hand-painted murals on the walls. It is the wonderful food and service bringing us back every time. There's quaint Italian music, or a mix of Jazz and Sinatra piped into the lounge.
