Our first time at Champs. It was a bit of of an abnormal visit so take my 4 stars for atmosphere with a grain of salt ... I'd guess it hits 5 stars often. It was a bitter cold day! It was a Sunday afternoon and the first NFL championship game was on. I think there were only 4 customers when we walked in. We were three more. More people trickled in as the game went on. We sat at the bar ... multiple TVs gave great views everywhere in the place. The bartender was awesome ......
We went here in the middle of the afternoon. Pam was the BEST bartender I’ve ever had - and in Wisconsin, that’s saying something! Not only on top of everything and attentive, but such great conversations too. It makes us want to come back again and again. She deserves the biggest raise and recognition! A true asset to the team.
I tired the chicken wings and they were less than mediocre. They were under cooked and to much sauce. The fries were very undercooked also and way to salty/seasoned. The bartenders never checked on me and one lady was coughing enough to make me worried I was going to get a cold. Champs defines themselves as a sports bar but they couldnt change the channel from the badger game that was on over 4 hours ago. There are lots of college games on as i had to watch one on my phone.
