Food was just bland. Not much going on flavor wise. Had the Grilled shrimp Alfredo. The shrimp had no flavor other than the burnt pieces of grill leftovers stuck to them (just real bitter tasting) and the Alfredo sauce just tasted of nothing. Highly doubt any of the meal was made in house or fresh.

Small portion size as well as reported by others.

Expect and deserve more for $32. You can go into piggly wiggly and buy the ingredients for less and it WILL be better.

This restaurant has outdoor ping pong and bags, which we appreciated. Service was also good. However, the food was extremely poor for the prices. The spaghetti Bolognese was NOT Bolognese, but rather tasted like canned tomato sauce with ground meat. For costing over $25, this should be better quality. Also the prices on the kids' menu were too high, even for Door County. $15 for kids' pizza and $9 for buttered noodles is way too expensive.

We had a fabulous dinner! Best fish and chips we have had in years. Thin crust pizza was great too. Nice waiter as well. He gave us travel advice for Albania. I highly recommend eating here!

Sunday night dinner in the Sister Bay area- we are new to the area, so went to the closest restaurant we could find. Atmosphere is a typical north woods vibe (large bar area, dark wood), but the food is a mix of American/Italian.
Companion had the spaghetti pomodoro, which came with soup or salad- the Caesar salad was very good, with homemade garlic croutons. The pasta was confusing as it contained sausage- something usually not found in pomodoro. She ate it anyway as she didnt want to make a fuss. Said it was good despite the protein.
I ordered a gluten free GOAT pizza. Dried cherries, chevre, bacon, topped with arugula and a balsamic drizzle. Not bad, but needed a little something. It could have been because GF crust isnt as flavorful as regular.
Both ordered the NA cherry fizz- delightfully flavored with tart cherry juice(when in Door county...).
Ended the meal by sharing the Gluten Free chocolate torte- delicious!
Bill came and although pricey for some pasta, pizza and no alcohol, on par for the touristy DC area.

Food is excellent. Large portions, but kind of pricey.
If you use a card, they add 3 %.
Waitress could have been better
Best to go at less busy times. Gets a little noisy.

Went here for the fish fry. The fish fry plate was not a top 10 & the fish & chips came out very soggy. Very disappointed for the price tag. Drinks were good and beer came in a chilled glass so that redeemed it a bit. Would not recommend for fish.

Lena, Charlie, and the rest of the staff at the Northern were amazing. The pizzas were amazing. It is rare to find a place that gets the dough and the sauce right, but they did it perfectly. They went out of their way to make our event fantastic. Is there a sixth star?

Wonderful evening at this restaurant. We walked from our motel, Coachlite Inn. Friendly greetings from all employees when we entered. We decided to eat in the patio, great choice because they had cod hole and ping pong to play outside and many picnic tables and a great vibe outside. I had meatball sub, partner had pizza—both good. Also got a caramel apple mule that was delicious and for $9, not a bad price. Highly recommend this place instead of the standard Door County places many folks tend to check out. Bartender very friendly and fun.

Northern pub and grill is something to behold here on the peninsula. It advertises itself as a pub and grill and has the bar astetic until you step into a dining area in the back. Now it's selection is Italian americano, with pizzas, pastas, salmon, calamari, whitefish and your typical pub burger.

Here's the odd part. They have an Italian selection but don't offer bread and olive oil to begin your meal. I guess that's them getting around labeling themselves as Italian. Whatever they are trying I guess. But then I see on the menu Spaghetti Bolognese, thier homemade sauce and add a Meatball for 5 dollars.

This totalled $29 for this dish. I obviously expected something to really show they are Italian americano especially with that price tag, however I got a bland tomato sauce which had little to no spice, as well as a mushy Meatball, also lacking in flavor. The pasta was on the thicker and tougher side so I disregard this as this is customer preference sometimes.

However having this $30 meal be as bland as it was is borderline criminal. It has SO much potential to be Italian, but if you come here, do not order this dish, you will be disappointed. I am unfortunately a tourist and will most likely not be visiting this establishment again until years later. Here's hoping your menu increases in quality!
