Had beef burgundy was not as tasty as that eaten last Fall. My NY Strip (8oz.) was flavorful but very tough. Popovers were great. Smashed potatoes, wonderful! Chop salad was outstanding as was the Caesar salad.Turtle sundae modest sized which was great, taste was outstanding. Carrot cake, just OK!
The food and service was very good. It was raining hard that night, yet once we got into the restaurant the experience was very good. This time we ate inside and it did feel a bit tight. Last time we ate there we were on the patio of the second floor and that was nicer and more roomy. But both times the service and food were good.
Drinks were very good as was the food! Table in the upstairs dining room was really nice and recommended. It was a little crazy due to heavy rains closing the outdoor seating, but the staff handled it perfectly. The only negative was that it felt a little rushed to get people through quickly; understandable due to the holiday weekend plus the rain. Steaks arrived and had to ask for our server to order a glass of wine. Overall a very good experience and would definitely go back!
