“Let me start out by saying that this place is a hidden Gem! I’ve lived here for two years and because of some townies and their biased opinions, I avoided giving Wandering Ewe a try. My first time visiting, I ordered the pizza. Thin crust sausage pepperoni. It was awesome! Closest thing to Chicago bar pies this far north that I’ve come across. I read a review from a disappointed customer after my first visit and it compelled me to write this and make a comment. Every time I’ve ordered pizza here it’s been excellent and the opinion of the reviewer, a fellow business owner in town, may be his experience and I’m not here to deny that. But I’m also not dismissing it as political in nature and somewhat of a smear campaign against a neighboring competitor. Give this place a try. There’s a lot of care that goes into everything I’ve ordered here and the people that work here are good folks!”

“Probably the best experience with Subway I’ve had. Really patient with me ordering for 3 indecisive kids, very accommodating for my mom who is gluten free getting salad from the back, workers seemed happy to be there. Subway has upped their freshness in the past few years too. Went after going to Crystal Cave from the Cities.”

Almost 5 hours later, well, we had an absolute blast there! The food was fantastic, the service was on point, the atmosphere was perfect, and all in a country setting! What more can you ask for! I highly recommend this establishment to all!! We will be back!!”

“Good Food, Good Prices and I eat there bout twice a week BUT if you ever go thru the Drive Thru and get home to see an order messed up dont expect them to make it right UNLESS you wanna hop right back in your vehicle and drive 20 miles each way AGAIN.. I Feel like not what I ordered should make it right next time especially since im a returning customer BUT maybe that doesn't even matter. Thanks, for what I have no idea. I even called and Manager on duty Wasn't very concerned he said "Ill let them know it was wrong"" GEEZ THANKS a milliion..”

“Went for their Wednesday fish fry on 4/2/25, this was the second time for me and the first time for my wife. Again, the fish was incredible, the mashed potatoes and white gravy is second to none and the coleslaw is one of my favorites. Dive bar experience with phenomenal food. If you haven’t yet tried it I highly recommend making this a stop. Ribs on thursdays are on my list and the Friday night steak is also amazing.”

“Every time we are here with our three children they are so very kind and always prompt , there is a woman specifically who is from possibly another country based on her accent , and she is the kindest most sweet server that we have had in many many places , I love coming to this quiet little spot not many people usually here . “Joe taking the reins from Dave at this magical place is a gift for beer lovers and human lovers - both men are amazing human beings, so this transition should be smooth and tasty. When Joe opens he plans to continue with a wide variety of small-batch craft beers, often using ingredients grown right there on the farm, and he is adding cider and wine made with apples, stone fruits, and grapes already growing on the property. I can't wait for Joe to do his thing and open it up for us thirsty folks!”

“Langers Bar is a great place to hang out. When you enter Langers you truly feel warm welcoming vibes and everyone (Customers. Staff members)is extremely friendly. The owners are Fabulous People, and the Bartenders are Johnny on the Spot to take your drink orders and drink refills. For those of you who have never been to Langers Bar, you need to stop in for a cocktail you won't be disappointed ?!”

“I absolutely loved the fish and Waverly burger!! It was a great time with friends that I rarely see. I would have hung around longer and ordered more drinks just to visit with my friends and but the seating for the large table that can accommodate 4 people in the pool room needs better seats. My back was hurting so I had to turn out early.
Otherwise, I absolutely loved the food and hope to visit again. Please buy some better chairs. Patio chairs were the downfall of my visit. The cook is awesome and she really knows how to season her protein and cook it to excellence!!

“I would give 5 stars for the food, which is excellent! But only three for the front of house staff. Each time I have been to Phoenix, I have been so very very disappointed by the wait staff and hosts. Which is too bad, because the chef/kitchen is brilliant, and the front of house does NOT do them justice.

Put away the jeans and teeshirts, spend some time training the wait staff (pre-bussing, waiting for guests to actually take their seats before tearing off, asking if guests would like dessert, less time visiting and more time checking in with guests, etc) ...they are the face of the restaurant, but right now are detracting from an otherwise wonderful experience!

Staff has dramatically improved since my initial review. Also, the patio is great in the summer! They now offer monthly specials and the creativity of the chef continues. 10/10 recommend for dinner. However, we did call the event manager and left a message regarding potentially having my daughters wedding there, and no one ever called back. So, though they get good event ratings, my experience was such that we selected another venue. So giving 4 stars for service.”
