When they say it's a hidden gem, it's true. Stopped here by chance and were delighted in the food. Wait staff was friendly and stopped by often though busy. It was a favorite restaurant of the trip! Prices were very reasonable.
This is a place out of history and time. It retains a 1950s Northern Wisconsin feel. The food was just average I'm afraid to say. There was only one waitress and very few patrons. It felt very sad. There are Glory Days if they ever had any are long over. If they had an owner or a manager with foresight they could turn this place into an amazing restaurant if they wanted to, but they seemed content on just getting by. If you are feeling a bit of a Bates Motel vibe when you first roll up resist the urge to leave! Food is worth it! We had a party of five and all of our sandwiches were great and the salmon too! It was a master class in fried foods for our sides and appetizers. The patio in the evening was super cozy as well!
