Sonny's Italian Kitchen & Pizzeria

That wait time was good and our food which was pizza was EXCELLENT!! We are from out of town but would definitely go back when we are in the area!

I was very excited to eat at Sonny's, but intimately the experience was disappointing. In fairness we ordered pasta and not pizza. The pasta was clearly precooked ingredients and lacking any flavor... except for a lot of jarlic (prediced garlic from a jar). I love garlic, but Jesus. Very bitter. Chicken had a very odd texture. Not from scratch and definitely not authentic. Waitstaff was quite indifferent. Not recommended.

Pizza buffet pretty generic pizza and barely warm. Salad bar was better. Very unique and nice place on water.

We loved the atmosphere here! Great views, can hear the ship horns, happy vibes inside, lots of windows and the decor was old wood and nautical. They gave our toddler water with a lid and straw, which we very much appreciated. My pizza was good! I went with the veggie with vegan cheese. I think I would have preferred it without the cheese entirely, but was so so thankful that they had an option for me. We will definitely be back!

I had an online order. Ordered 2 medium pizzas. 1 thick and 1 thin crust. The end edge crusts on both were so hard you couldn't even bite them as they just broke apart. Toppings were generous and tasty.

I also ordered a garlic cheese entree order. They stacked 5 pieces on top of each other in a medium styrofoam take home container (maybe they should try a pizza box where they can lay on one level). Which made them all melt together except one of the bottom pieces as it had no actual cheese on it ( bad quality control).

Had thin crust "Sonny's choice" personal pan pizza. Probably top three pizza I've ever had! Wife had fettuccine Alfredo, huge portions, fun atmosphere really nice location!

Sonny's was honestly a very fun restaurant. The food tasted really good and its atmosphere felt energetic and friendly at the same time. It helps that Sonny's is located right next to the river. 10 / 10 would definitely come back!

This review is specifically for Ashley, who served us at the bar. We got drinks and an appetizer to share, and we placed a to-go order for our entrees. Ashley is very friendly, and offered very prompt service despite it being a busy Friday night. Our drinks and appetizer arrived quickly, and our entrees appeared just as we were finishing up. As much as we enjoyed our food, we were more impressed by Ashley for her friendly, upbeat demeanor. 5 stars for Ashley! (And she makes great blueberry mojito!)

Food and drinks were excellent. Fast and friendly service. Loved our meal so much the first night we went back a second night to try something else. Tortellini was AMAZING and portion sizes were large. Definitely would go back if in the area again.
