We arrived at the restaurant and were seated at about 6:50 p.m. Sunday. A couple that sat below us at 7:05 p.m. was waited on by a waitress who had walked by our table several times, and all we had during that time were menus. When we saw that they were waited on before us, and we were seated much earlier, we got up and left. The hostess who had seated us said as we left, "Have a good evening!" Went for Atomic Bingo. Happy Hour was going on and they claimed to have $3.50 domestic taps, so ordered 3 Spotted Cow taps and got charged $21 ($7 per beer). Was told Spotted Cow (Wisconsin Brewery) was not a domestic. Very disappointing.
Excellent dinner, loved my strawberry margaritas, beautiful view of the boats and harbor. Will be returning in the future.
Menu
Stone Harbor Restaurant & Pub offers a varied dining experience with a beautiful view of the waterfront and lively atmosphere. The food quality is mixed; the filet butterflied and ribeye are tender and good, while the crab cakes and artichoke dip are considered bland. The salmon came out well, but the walleye was rather bland despite the seasoning. The salad bar is praised as exceptional and a great deal, especially with a soup and salad bar available. The restaurant's location overlooking boat traffic is a highlight, and summer days on the patio are highly recommended. The bar is lively in the evenings, with dance nights that can be crowded. Service can be slow and sporadic at times but generally improves as the meal progresses. The menu may lack diversity for vegetarian diners, and the breakfast menu is limited, with some noting the atmosphere can be noisy with music blasting from both the patio and bar. The staff is friendly and competent, and the creative cocktails are well-liked. Overall, the restaurant provides a pleasant dining atmosphere, though some find it a bit overpriced for the taste. Live music every weekend adds to the fun, and the overall experience is enjoyable despite some inconsistencies.
