Absolutely loved our visit to Golden Nest Pancakes & Cafe. The food was fantastic and came out hot and fresh. Even though the place was packed, every staff member had a smile on their face and made us feel welcome. Super accommodating from start to finish. You can tell they really care. We'll definitely be back!

First impression: The decor is fantastic, very much matches their name. No waiting area. There is a sign that tells you to wait in your car.
Drinks: Our alcoholic friends enjoyed their body Mary and mimosa. My orange juice seemed fresh squeezed. The was one big, big problem. The water is so foul that it is not drinkable. I only know how good the orange juice is because I couldn’t drink the water. On a hot day when you’re thirsty, that’s really a shame.
Food: My food would have been pretty good had it of been hot, but it was barely lukewarm.
This place could benefit from some owners or management that care. There is tons of potential but it’s just neglected and left to the hourly employees to do their best.
Upon check out you’ll notice there is a list of demands similar to an Airbnb. There is an 18% gratuity on a check for a party of 5 or more. A 2.99% credit card fee, and they won’t split a bill on the weekends. This isn’t unreasonable - I understand that they need to perfect themselves from a certain demographic.
In closing, I wish they would have invested in a good reverse osmosis water system, but instead they have a robot server to help deliver your food. When it eventually makes it to your table it then stands there in the way of the server who has to hand your plate to you because they can’t reach the table. Maybe you can post it on Craigslist for a trade for an RO water system so your patrons can have some water on a hot day after waiting in the car for 20 minutes.

Handled being super busy very well. The food was delicious and MANY choices. the wait staff were wonderful along with atmosphere of the whole restaurant.

Had the lobster omelet (fantasic) hashbrowns were dry, as though they had been sitting a bit. My coworker had the grilled cheese with fruit and was happy. Only other issue is the water tasted of chemicals.

I was visiting Madison and some friends took me to this place in Sun Prairie. Had never been there before and I was told it's only open for breakfast and lunch. It was pretty busy and took a few minutes to get seated. After we got our table we ordered drinks and then our food. I ordered a Nashville Chicken sandwich with fries/potato. It was good but nothing special. The service was great and very attentive to our table. Give it a try if you are in that area.

Stopped in today for the first time to meet a former colleague for breakfast!

First - service was outstanding, especially the hostess. Food was outstanding. I had the Corn Beef and Hash Bowl. Hot and plenty to eat.

I believe I found a new go to breakfast place!

I went there with my fiance and grandma and it was such a good time. The place is absolutely stunning inside, the service was AMAZING, And the manager, luke, oh an absolute delight. You can tell he keeps his staff AND most importantly his customers happy. The food is soooo delicious and the mimosa flight was to die for. 10/10 would recommend all around the board.

Golden Nest is a place to get a high quality, family friendly brunch any day of the week. Whether you're hungry for some inventive omelets or want to sample some lunch fare like their Nashville Chicken Sandwich, would highly recommend and pair with a premium latte or one of their inventive juices.

This place is nice, although very loud. Our server, real, was good, however extremely pushy trying to get us to hurry up and leave, even though we ended up leaving almost 20 minutes prior to close at the end of our meal. Also when closing our check, our party had placed all of our credit cards down, and he charged only the top one, saying "I'll charge this card first," and then charged the first card our whole amount, which ended up costing one person in our group a giant overdraft fee, and only told us afterwards that they "don't accept split payments on weekends." This was very rude and unprofessional, especially when we clearly had all our cards on the table, to not even say first before charging the total to one card. This was not a good experience.
