I already know how good the food is but I had to share how gorgeous my food looked. This was my first time sitting down at the new location and they didn’t disappoint. I ordered the steak over Gouda Mac and cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection, the vibe inside was chill,it was very clean and comfortable.Of course I’ll be back.??

A Gem of a place with great Jamaican food! Ox tail ma Favorite!
Check on facebook before going. Updated news on fb (only as far as I know, I could be wrong!)
I always check “Jam rock” on fb page, before hand.
They do close up shop, if they have sold out for the evening.

Hours are always wrong
This place is terrible
Had the pleasure of finally getting to return for a second chance to offer a review of the food and atmosphere as well as customer service here at Jamrock. I was here 3 weeks ago for take out and just needed to check for consistency. No definitive open hours as i came down 3 times previously just to review this place after 2pm each day. No one ever returned my call when i left a vm asking about the hours of operation. Sad to say that on this eat-in visit...the chicken was undercooked and underseasoned and for $20 could of given you More than just a leg quarter that was full of bones..
The Mac n chicken was D'licious. The entire container was served on the largest overfilled container of blah tasteless jasmine rice. No beans no plantain, or salad...or cabbage. Not worth $20. Ohhhh and it took 32 minutes! Freshly prepared but thats just too long...nice try though!

If you are looking for a place with FLAVOR in downtown, this is the place! I had the jerk chicken cheese wrapped burrito and it was crazy good and it was like 3 servings big. The atmosphere is nice and there is a bar next door for drinks. Definitely suggest checking this place out

Showed up a little late, they were sold out of most things but threw together some stuff for us. Haven’t even eaten yet but I know with service like that it’s going to be awesome!

Among other menu offerings check out the brisket tacos au jus. Holy cow. Truly holy and truly beef. Served in an atmosphere which imo has the perfect vibe. We will return!

Food was great if I was a child.. they only served "the special" which was $40+ and was enough for a child. Never again

Good luck trying to get food from there. Hours are inconsistent and they are closed more than half the time. Food is okay but bland. Not authentic like advertised. Hard pass

Wild experience from start to finish. Location is nice and cozy, but server brought out our appetizer in to-go containers. We were dining in. Half the menu was out of stock. We ordered something that was allegedly in stock, server came back a few minutes later to let us know they were also out of that. Brought out the crab leg special without any way to open the crab legs. Upon requesting tools, the server told me I could use my plastic butter knife, since they don't have anything else. Might just be me, but if you're serving crab legs, you should have the proper utensils. Cook was having a meltdown in the kitchen. When I went to use the restroom (which was in utter disarray btw), I could hear him banging stuff in the kitchen and swearing.
Terrible experience, server was super friendly. Will not return.

Unfortunately, I have to be honest. Coming from the south, I'm used to not trusting any Caribbean food restaurants in the North. I was very hopeful. I saw the rating of 4.4 on Google , and it is deceiving.
The atmosphere, decor, and service are great. However, I came for grilled wings and a beef patty. Half of the menu was missing. Then we ordered the coconut bread and the Jerk Chicken Gouda Mac and Cheese. That's what I ordered, but I received warmed up ciabatta bread with some sour butter dip and day old food. What I should have recognized was that it did not smell like food was cooking and no customers. Usually, that's the mom and pop type. Oh, I'm about to eat real food vibes.
NOPE. The cheese was not cheesing. It was dry, and so was the chicken that had the flavor, but not fresh. My boss ended up eating more than me, and her stomach was hurting but the end of the night. My I knew first bite...THAT AINT IT.
I was told by the waiter to vome.back when the owner is available. So sad. I live so far away, and the owner should make sure his food is consistent no matter when it is served.
