“I stopped in to Thirsty Pagan Brewing to try a couple of their brews. They had 9 of their beers on including an Amber, American pale ale, dark ale, west coast IPA, cream ale, an orange cream, pineapple pale ale, pilsner, and a Hazy IPA. Pagan has a nice outdoor seating area. The bar area had plenty of space with high ceilings, with lots of the historic feel that you expect in Superior. The service was friendly and fast. Pagan a full bar and a pizza and app menu if you get hungry. The Superior/Duluth area has a ton of brewery options and you should put this one on your list.“

Was very disappointed tonight though (Thursday). I know they close at 8, so I called at 730 to order food to-go. No answer, tried twice. So I decided to drive the two blocks because I figured they might be busy. Got there at 7:38 and the door was locked. Sign on the door says last order is at 7:45 - kinda hard to order to-go if I can’t get in.“

“Love this place and make it a point to stop when we drive up North. The ceiling on the way to the restrooms is beautiful and mesmerizing (sounds weird I know) but trust me. The beer was great with a nice variety. Patio is dog friendly. It was pouring and foggy and perfect.“

“Very cool brewery in downtown Duluth. The owners and their dogs were all friendly. They have a modern vibe, live music, tons of space, with more seating in the back. They had 16 beers on for my stop including: a hefe, blonde, pepper, dill, wild berry tart, blood orange pineapple mango, peach sour, a Belgian strong, cranberry Belgian strong, a pale ale, hazy IPA, NEIPA, West coast IPA, and a Imperial Stout. I liked the Belgian and the stout. I am sure I will stop back again to try more.“

“This is my favorite breakfast/brunch in Duluth. I feel like breakfast can be hard sometimes, but not here. Multiple labeled vegan options and the waiters are accommodating and helpful to veganize other items. Vegan baked goods are delicious too.“

They had the most delicious food and my wife who has celiac disease had so many options to pick from for food. They made our night so special and I was beyond impressed. “It must be a night "off". I ordered a small lasagna with an extra slice of garlic bread. Upon opening, the lasagna was deconstructed. the sauce was amazing but chunky! The meal was luke warm and tasted microwaved. I'll try again because the sauce is so good. *Sidenote* I was told 5 p.m. so the driver who came back from delivery took my name. The young woman was so friendly when she came out! Unless it had been sitting 15 minutes, it shouldn't have been luke warm with hard cheese. I recommend a second try but not sure when. There are many places with hot, fresh lasagna.“

“Local Duluthian. This used to be a family favorite spot, it felt like a "Special" place to go. We rarely come here in recent years. The last few times its clear how run down this spot is becoming - you have such a great location, beautiful view of lake superior, tourist hot spot ... but its sad how run down its becoming, carpets, worn down booths. . . . Leaving this review to try encourage owners to put a little pride back into this restaurant and do Duluth Proud.“

“Blackwoods catered my son’s wedding yesterday. Overall we would recommend them, but there were a few glitches. The tablecloths we picked up from them the day before the wedding were the wrong size and, despite being sealed in plastic, there were quite a few set in stains. I phoned and left a message about the issue, and no one bothered to return my call. Not a promising start. On the day of the wedding, the staff arrived on time, and everything was set up and ready to go as planned. For the most part the food was good, but the ham was awful. It was tough and the pieces were cut into huge chunks, many of which were full of fat and gristle. We had people who normally love ham refusing to eat it. Since it was one of the main dishes, the ham was a huge disappointment, especially for the money paid. The turkey, however, was moist and tasty. The staff members were helpful and professional. They willingly boxed up leftovers for the wedding couple, which was much appreciated, and they left the church kitchen clean.“

“Our hockey team had a team meal at 310 Pub in Duluth, and it was awesome! Andria, our server, was incredibly organized and handled our group of 30+ like a pro. She even split our tabs by jersey number, which made things super easy for everyone. The food came out fast, the drinks were great, and the whole vibe was perfect for a team outing. Another shoutout to the bartender—since the quarter machine was broken, he had to make change for all the kids by hand. He was way more patient than I would’ve been! Huge thanks to the staff for making it such a smooth and fun night!“
