My band and I make a kind of home of Trempealeau Hotel. We love playing and staying there. The food is top notch, the staff is warm and welcoming. The surrounding area is beautiful (you can walk along the river or go hiking on trails nearby). It’s a special place, and good people are called there.

Very pleasant people, nice view of the river. The food, eggsalad sandwich spread thin between very dry white bread a regular bun would have been better, ice tea very weak. The potatoes were very good, and the raspberry cheesecake. My mistake was that I should have sent it back, I'm sure they would have fixed it.

Now, if you’re hankerin’ for a place where the beer’s colder than a banker’s heart, then the Trempealeau Hotel is where you wanna be. Those walnut balls? Well, they’re a treat you won’t forget—kinda like your first love, but crunchier. And the view of the mighty Mississippi? It’s hands-down the best you’ll find anywhere. You can sit back, relax, and watch that river roll by like it’s been doin’ for centuries, just the way it oughta be. No need for fancy talk or big city flair—this here’s the real deal.

Stumbled into this hidden gem. As a foodie I can be pretty critical of food quality and prep. No disappointment. The lightly breaded and baked walleye was perfect, as were the side dishes. Oh, and the Stout Choc. cake for dessert. One piece was not enough. Good live music too. Had a room overlooking the river and Lock #6. Basic, clean and perfect for a one night getaway.

Vegetarian options: Menu changes regularly. There were several choices at the time of our visit, and some dishes where meat could easily be omitted.

Parking: Abundant parking by and near the building.

Our recent visit to the Trempealeau hotel was delightful.
We enjoyed an evening meal which was delicious.
There were several GF DF options and I chose the Veg stir fry = YUM! my husband had a burger with gouda cheese, and a side of potato wedges = also very delicious. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed our time there very much!

I've been to the Trempealeau hotel a few tubes over the years. First time was after a bike ride from holmen. I had the walnut burger for the first time, and it was delicious.

Second was helping with security for Blue Oyster Cult .. which was amazing.

This was recently for Them Coulee Boys concert. Atmosphere, people and service was amazing.

I really like this hotel, saloon, restaurant and music venue. I had great a beef burger with chips. I stayed in room # 1.

Kid-friendliness: They do have a kids menu.
