“Jordan's is one of the best bars in the city. An excellent food menu with daily food specials, not to mention a Friday Fish Fry that could rival anyone else in Madison! An awesome atmosphere for any Wisconsin sporting event with Badger football GameDays being the crown jewel. Super friendly staff and just general great vibes any day of the week. I really can't recommend this place enough!“

The place itself is also great, lots of beers on tap and a ton of options in the cooler to chose from! One of the most unique breweries we've been to!“

“Went there for a nice dinner last night with a friend. The dinner he ordered wasn't the one that showed up but the waitress, Lindsey B went out of her way to make sure it was replaced with what he did order. She was extremely good at her job. The replacement steak was superb! The ambience is very nice. We were surprised a bit at the quality of chairs at the tables, of all things. Very rickety and worn. We had to swap out our chairs with others at nearby tables to find two that either didn't sway badly or didn't have such a divot in the cente, making it uncomfortable to sit at. Time to upgrade to better chairs, Bonfyre! We'll be back for sure.“

The Icehouse Bar • $$$
1001 Wisconsin Ave, Madison - 9.47 miles

“Hosted a business event in the rooftop bar here and stayed one night in a fourth floor lakefront room. The Edgewater to my knowledge is really the only large high-end hotel right in Madison's downtown and hosts touring musical acts, visiting college sports teams and business functions. Location is handy to both the capitol and university. The staff was pleasant in my dealings but I found the prices a bit high and the decor in the rooms and some of the common areas kind of lacking. The Boathouse bar seemed deserted when I looked in; the Statehouse restaurant served a nice meal with a view. The place is definitely playing up its history and roster of famous guests on its 75th anniversary.“

“I did not expect this. Great food, great atmosphere for watching sports, great beer selection at reasonable prices! Many beers on tap are priced $5 to $6.50! I went in and ordered the ribeye beef dip ($14.25) and it was absolutely delicious! No noticeable gristle or fat. For an extra dollar I upgraded to sweet potato fries which were good, just not crispy. I saw the potato tots and they looked great as a regular free side that I will pick next time.“
