I was going to celebrate my big birthday. I let them know when I made the reservation. Had a wonderful meal and Stephanie was a great server. Funny though no one ever wished me a happy birthday to me the entire evening. A bit of a let down.

What an incredible experience I just had! I don’t think I have ever had a more special or delicious meal than the lunch I ate at Driftless Cafe. Do yourself a favor and get some shabazi fries!

Loved everything about this place. Super friendly staff, to die for food, and chill vibe. I stayed in Viroqua for 3 nights and went for every meal I could, trying different small plates, desserts and cocktails each evening. On my last day there I went for lunch and ordered one of their pizzas…. Amazing!! The food is really exquisite—and combined with the relaxed country vibe, I would choose it over an NYC restaurant any day.
Zahm himself, the "Leonardo of Lunch" happily at his station, serving up consistently fresh, awesome fare at his Driftless Cafe here in Viroqua WI!

Came here because we always wanted to check out this place. Did not disappoint - the food is as great as you'd think it would be. Got a reservation for a table and found some seats at the bar for a drink. Ended up giving up our table to eat at the bar. Bartenders were great company and very knowledgeable. The food - I mean c'mon - the food was out of the world good. Had the Meze Trio and Oyster Mushroom Ravioli small plate. Then the Organic Prairie Beef Tenderloin and the Skrei Cod for dinner. All were so good and the service - even better. And - - get the Makers Manhattan, served chilled and up - did not disappoint. Thank you Driftless team for exceeding our high expectations.

We recently moved back to the driftless region after living in California for eight years. We have never had better, fresher, more memorable farm-to-table food than what's served at the Driftless Cafe.We often plan our Saturdays around lunch at The Driftless. The soups are without exception inventive and layered with flavor—and I love that there's always a vegetarian option. My partner swears by the burgers. He says they're consistently awesome and perfectly cooked. The large local salad is invariably perfect and loaded with local, seasonal veg and the Mediterranean Platter is ridiculously good.If you can squeeze it in, absolutely try the carrot cake with a cup of coffee. The Driftless brews a better cup than anywhere else I've found (and I'm an unapologetic coffee snob). The atmosphere is so cozy and the servers are kind, welcoming, and just awesome at what they do.We feel so lucky to have this little gem nearby.
Always have great food there. We have never been disappointed.

First time visit for me. Lunched with 3 friends and all of the food was delicious! I had the baked Mac and Cheese, enough for two! Service was attentive and friendly. Luke was kind enough to pose with us for a picture!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free was available!

Food was very good, but one order was wrong at our table and the server was not friendly or helpful. Bartender was very nice and atmosphere was good, but for the cost I expected friendlier service and not a mistake that it was clear that they tried to fix prior to bringing it out, but did not remake it, just hope we didn't notice. Server never checked on us until we had completed our meal. Drinks were very good though and nice selections, great pear cider. Might be willing to try again.

Food was slow to arrive. Food ordered was not correct when served. Staff tried to fix mistake by taking item off bill, and serving a cup of soup to help appease. The other people in our group were finished before I received my meal. We were not told each glass of tea would be a charged refill. The only enjoyable part of our lunch for myself was the company I was with.
Always amazing food! Farm to table food that I guarantee you will love!
