Not sure what people can complain about, I go here every time im on the island. Bartender works his butt off and the food is very good. It's not cheap but what do you expect on an island. I would consider it a high end touch on bar food. Super good wings and burgers. Great place to start your island adventure and join the bitters club. I really enjoy watching people's reactions to the shot of bitters. Also the cool old fishing photos in the bathroom always hit close...
Historic bar on Washington Island. Great old fashions no review for food, kitchen wasn’t open, but friendly bartender gave us some good island tidbits. Very cool old bar and decor.
nelsens is an iconic must-stop bar on washington island. chill in the historic bar and have a shot of angostura bitters. the bartenders are friendly and quick and make great cocktails. you will definitely experience the mix of tourists hanging with locals which is so fun. they have a new menu this year which is honestly so amazing. the burgers are perfection. i tried a bite of my friends BLT wrap which also was so delicious. join the bitters club. you won’t regret it.
