Traveled to Wausau from Waupaca to meet our friends from Eau Claire. Wausau is pretty much the halfway point for each of us. Stopped at Limericks for lunch. The owner was welcoming and engaging. There was a good selection of Irish beers on tap. Everyone's meal was delicious. Better yet the Shepherd's Pie was definitely a five.

One of the best restaurants in the area. The food is always excellent, especially for prices. The Rueben is one of the best items on the menu being made with corned beef that doesn’t come from a can. You can also find Guinness on tap and fun trivia on Tuesdays.

Went in for lunch and had the best Reuben sandwich I’ve ever had. The meat was flavorful and tender with just the right amount of kraut. The potato leek soup was tasty too. The service was excellent, and we’ll definitely be back.

This bar and restaurant is an absolute gem! The food is consistently amazing — their Reuben is hands down the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly grilled, packed with flavor, and just the right balance of savory and tangy. Every time I stop in, I find something else to love on the menu.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, a perfect mix of cozy and energetic. Whether you’re out for a casual drink, dinner with friends, or just grabbing a bite solo, it feels like the kind of place where everyone is welcome.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. The owner is incredibly friendly and truly cares about the customer experience. The staff are just as welcoming — attentive, upbeat, and genuinely happy to be there.
Loving the new location too — it’s got a fresh vibe, plenty of space, and still retains all the charm that made me fall in love with this place to begin with.
Can’t recommend it enough. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and check it out!

The food is very good. Odd that they don't have a fryer (I bet they would do a great fish fry/fish and chips).
They have great beer on tap, including either Old Speckled Hen or (previously) Boddington's. My favorite and pretty hard to find in Wisconsin. This is pretty much the only place I go where I do not "drink local."
Also, they make a very good Old Fashioned.
