Sam's Pizza for the win. I walked in for my pick up today and was treated like family. I had not been there for a while and was greeted by name and handed my pizza before I could even get my wallet. They were also very busy but not busy enough to treat everyone there the same as they treated me. Of course the pizza and garlic bread were amazing. This place is a Wausau landmark for a reason. Thank you Sam's Pizza !!
Nostalgia is alive and well! If anyone remembers Sammy's Pizza in Green Bay when it was on Walnut St, this place is you you! Juke boxes at the tables (although they didn't work, it was still fun to see), very nice waitress and reasonable prices. The only "complaint" would be that the cheesy garlic bread was made on a piece of white bread, which seemed odd and was a little dry. Next time we'll ask for a little less sauce on the pizza, but otherwise, that...
Service was outstanding and I enjoyed the pizza. Thin crust. I was in town for work and looking for something local and found this place based on reviews. Pretty sure this must be the original location, as they had the menu from 1958 on the wall in there. I can see why the locals like it!
