I got in on the last day before closing for the winter. The chocolate malts (my metric for quality) are good, not great. But this is an institution for me. Heading for the north woods on 141, I always stop unless there's a long line. Nice outdoor seating.
It's a terrible shame they have closed and business is for sale. it was a fixture in Iron Mountain for about 40yrs, remember going back when I was in school, was my dad's favorite ice cream station
First time here - the menu selection is great, lots to choose from and the prices are reasonable. However, I pick up on people pretty well and for some reason the attendant was slightly rude. Also, as an FYI, there appears to be a 5.7 percent fee for using a card.
