“Champion's Pub is a quintessential Milwaukee corner bar. It is welcoming, fun, and run by an amazing family and staff. Bobby Greenya and his wife, Maire, beyond being outstanding business owners, are spectacular people. This is a family that helps their community and provides a wonderful location to kick back and relax, enjoy sport's games on TV, or a game of shuffleboard with friends. They go the extra mile to make Champion's an East Side gem. Their St. Patrick's Day celebrations are legendary! Their huge backyard is especially a treat in the summer with kiddie pools to soak your feet in and even outdoor movies, live music and other fun events. Champion's Pub has hosted many of my family's social gatherings and always does a magnificent job. Thank you for being so amazing! We appreciate you more than words can say!“
“Surprisingly good food, Much better than you expect! The bartenders are super professional and really know their stuff. The result is a fantastic bar to hang out at and get a bite. Give it a visit, you'll be impressed.Parking: Parking is a bit tight, come early if you want a good spot.“
“This inn is everything you could need. It’s affordable. Walkable to the downtown area and lots of great restaurants. It also has a super cute restaurant and bar on site (get an Irish coffee!) The food is good Irish comfort food and the complimentary omelet bar/breakfast selection hit the spot. And—off street parking is included! The bar has live music a few nights a week and regulars from the neighborhood. It feels like a true Irish pub. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to make your stay great. After recently visiting County Clare in Ireland, I can say the vibes and hospitality are spot on.Rooms: The rooms aren’t huge, but they have everything you need. The beds are comfy and clean.Safety: The area feels very safe, no matter what time of day or night we’ve walked to, and from the end, I see folks from the neighborhood walking their dogs which is generally just good vibes and makes you feel safeWalkability: About a 20 minute walk to places like the Pabst theater and riverwalk area.Food & drinks: Yummy and affordable food and drink.Noteworthy details: A perfectly authentic Irish, pub and inn. From the stained glass windows to the cast iron base tables to the friendly and accommodating staff this place checks all the boxes.“
“I made my first visit to O’Brien’s and loved it. Laid back, fun atmosphere, nice owner, and Chaz, an excellent server. We ordered Guinness (of course), the Mac and cheese and a burger. The food was delicious. This is a new favorite place and we’re definitely going back!“
“This was my first visit to O’Lydias. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding. My Shrimp Po Boy was so delicious. Definitely will try to come back again. Thank you for a wonderful diversion from my chaotic week. ☘️❤️“
“My father drank here for fifteen-twenty years after Nash's Irish Castle. While I used to drink with Dad at Kitt's occasionally, I never had the pleasure of raising a pint at O'Connor's. Recently my dad passed away, and they were kind enough to hold the remembrance at the perfect pint. Great Irish decor, good neighborhood folks... And if course, Guinness galore! And hey! If it's good enough for Dad, it's good enough for you! Slainte!!“
“As soon as I walked into Foggy Dew I felt comfortable. There was something different about this bar, although the clientele looked typically Milwaukee South Side. They were polite, kind and welcoming. The guy sitting next to me gave up his seat for my friend. I bought him a drink to thank him, but he didn’t acknowledge it, probably embarrassed. That’s typical of Foggy Dew. Nick was our bartender, and he was friendly and answered my barrage of questions. Foggy Dew will be a destination bar for me. The decor was unique, but the differences were subtle. I loved the fact the Dew was in a residential neighborhood. That added to its panache. It was a cool bar. I liked it. I think you will too.“
“Boyfriend and I came here for the first time today. We are new to the Tosa/Brookfield area and wondered what this place was all about. This place feels like a second home when you walk in...it has that classic Wisconsin bar comfort: neighbors having conversations at the bar, Packer memorabilia on the walls, sports games on TV. When you go to the right, you enter the restaurant area, which again has a nice second-home feeling. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and my boyfriend ordered a steak and mushroom sandwich that was the special of the day. OMG, both were amazing! Haven't had a good Reuben in a while and this place definitely satisfied the craving. Looking forward to coming back sometime soon!!“
“A fun, eclectic, neighborhood bar with good food. Stopped in on a Friday afternoon and started with the mussels. Wow! We ate every last one and all of the bread. I honestly thought about drinking the broth...so good! I didn't want anything fried so I opted for the Blackened Grouper --it was perfectly seasoned; not too hot and really well balanced. My husband had the Baked Cod and potato pancakes--he cleaned his plate. We both really enjoyed our food and the service. Carrie was behind the bar/serving. She was inviting, funny, knowledgeable and I was even more impressed as regulars started to roll in- she seemed to know everyone, what they liked and how they wanted it.“
“They have about 30 to 40 different kinds of fish and shrimp! Check out their menu on their website. I had a Arapaima fish fry which was great. The atmosphere was electric and they had a lot of great music playing. They space was pretty roomy since they have 2 different bar areas.“
“Great place to host a group party. The owner is such a nice person, so accommodating and friendly. We felt a very warm welcome and at a very reasonable price. Bar staff were very friendly as well. Felt like home here, and we’ll gladly book a party here again. Fully stocked bar with specialty drinks and the food was good. Would recommend the toasted ravioli! Thank you Gingerz!“
“I go to Paddy's once a month for a vampire LARP. The game is always fun but having a bar in the middle of a play zone is great because you can grab whatever, whenever. No food that I'm aware of though.Parking: Park on street or there's a paid lot near the bank that is available.“
“Hector service was exceptional! Attendant to details and was very personable! Good Food for a Friday night fish fry night. I had the glazed fire grilled salmon on some unusual rice.Dietary restrictions: I am a true celiac and never had a problem with the foodParking: The new parking lot really makes parking easy!“
