“The food is phenomenal, the most authentic northern food you will find in the mid west, I have been there MANY times with family and friends, every time I’m in town, it’s a must stop place for me. I recommend their dumplings and bao, all hand made by the owners, speaking of which, the owners are the most down to earth people you will ever meet, they care about their restaurant, the food and the customers, and treat their customers like family. I definitely recommend this place.“

“Birthday dinner for my 8YO daughter. Shout out to the entire staff at Wonita Sushi Seafood and Bar. They were super patient with the kids, waiter was awesome and even brought an extra dessert after simply noticing my daughter looking with envy at her brothers choice. Then waiting for the bill, the host (manager/owner?) noticed the kids eyeballing the lobster tank and he pulled up a stool for them to get a better look. He explained to the kids the growth rate of lobsters and we explained it was my daughters birthday dinner. Walking to the car, he chased us into the parking lot and gave her a special birthday stuffed animal. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been this impressed with service. Especially as it was just another day to them, we didn’t mention the bday until leaving. We had planned a different place that is closed on Mondays. Glad we tried Wonita. They left a very favorable impression on both kids and they both said they want all future birthdays at Wonita!!“

“Wife and I went for a long walk along the east side then decided to look for a sushi restaurant. Found this place close by. We ordered 5 different rolls and some veggie Stirfry w a side of rice. Everything was excellent! We had a great experience. Reasonable prices. We would go back.“

“I said I’d never eat sushi until I tried it for the first time at Katsuya in Studio City. I fell in love with the crispy rice tuna tartare 😋🍱 Until I had it at Wasabi!!! Things will never be the same. No restaurant can make it better!!! The Cali Crunch roll is a close second. This is hands down THE ONLY place I will eat sushi. “Kyoto's food is always consistent, tastes fresh, and priced well. The staff is always so nice and very knowledgeable about celiac. I took my son (14), and he ordered a specific roll. The waitress said that they switched to a different brand of seafood in that particular food option and wasn't positive it may still be gluten-free. 5 stars every time.“

“Fujiyama is my absolute favorite Japanese restaurant! They have, in my opinion, the best sushi rolls and salmon sashimi, along with attentive service and delicious cocktails.

My favorite sushi roll is the Angry Dragon, which perfectly combines the sweetness of fruit with the crispiness of tempura shrimp, topped with a tasty mango sauce. For appetizers, the Crab Rangoon and Gyoza are my go-tos. The Crab Rangoon has a rich, authentic cream cheese flavor, unlike the artificial taste I’ve experienced at some other places. The sauce served with the gyoza is a hit with both my husband and me; we even use it with our sushi!

I’ve visited several times, and the cocktails recommended by the servers have always been great. My favorite is the Lychee Martini. It features lychee, a popular fruit in China that’s juicy and bouncy, and the drink has a unique tropical fruit flavor.

I haven’t tried much of the hibachi menu, but I did enjoy the Hibachi Chicken during their Monday and Tuesday specials. I love how they season their sauces.

The service here is very thoughtful. They provide warm towels for you to clean your hands, and there’s a surprise song and dessert for birthdays (although I haven’t celebrated mine here yet, the dessert looks amazing!). On my last visit, I accidentally left my phone behind, and a server even ran out into the rain to return it to me, which is why I’m able to write this review from my phone.

Fujiyama is a restaurant with a long history, and they continue to excel in everything they do.“

“Went today for my birthday and it was very nice. The restaurant itself had a very soft atmosphere which I really loved. The shrimp dumping was so good, wish I ordered more. My waitress was very kind and soft spoken, love that! The workers overall were very kind and lovely. The food there was very buss, I’ll come take my younger sister here for her birthday next time. I loved it, would totally come again! 🫶“

“So great I had to share! I went in after a long day at work and ordered a bowl to go. I walked outside and it slipped out of my hands and all over the street. I was so frustrated and upset, but I went back inside to buy another bowl. “They have the best ramen that I have ever had. I don't eat pork, so it can be hard to find pork-free ramen that's flavorful. This bowl is so tasty on its own that you do not need to add any meat (or tofu) to it. I've ordered other things, but usually wish I had just stuck with the ramen cuz it's that good. Unless you can stand a lot of heat, go with the mild which is still pretty spicy. And I grew up eating Indian food, so heat is something I'm used to. “We are locals and regular patrons of NaNa. In several vacations out of town we have ordered from sushi places, assuming we would get something of similar or a superior quality than what we were used to. We have been disappointed time and time again in other restaurants. It turns out no one can live up to the quality and tastiness of our hometown favorite, Nana in Shorewood. I think we will stop trying when we are on vacation and just be happy when we get home to Milwaukee to be able to have Nana sushi again. It is excellent quality, delicious, and reasonably priced. We have ordered both sushi rolls and dinners such as sesame chicken countless times. If it was socially/financially appropriate to eat there every night we probably would. Thank you Nana, we didn’t realize how lucky we were to have the best sushi restaurant around just down the street from us!“

“RuYi never disappoints. The quality of the food is always excellent. Portion sizes will please everyone. They have expanded RuYi's into two locations within the casino. The old Buffet area has been converted to a RuYi and Fire Pit combo to-go service or pick-up and dine-in this large area. While the long lines were worth the wait, you no longer have to stand around in the lobby.
