Place is always packed when I go in for pick up, but food is never delayed. I've noticed they have different variations in how a certain dish is cooked based on who is in the kitchen, but it's always good. Portions are always good and it's always packed with flavor. If you want a dish at a different level of spice they will do it for you. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat in MKE.

Yesterday, 7/11 we ordered Fei Tung fish. It was served in a large cake pan. As we had lot of leftover, we were emptying the content in containers. We found that the bottom and sides of the pan were completely rusted and the coating corroded. I touched the bottom with my finger to find it had sharp serrated edges. It was completely horrifying. I called the server and she look the pan and said she trashed it. They billed us for our meal in full. We paid and also included a tip. After that, I called the waitress and asked that this dish be taken out of our bill as this is a health hazard. She voided the bill. It is scary that a popular restaurant has such bad hygiene and health standards. We used to go there regularly but not now. Please be careful or at least think twice before you go there.

Without a doubt, the best Chinese restaurant in Milwaukee. Don't miss out on the regional specialties. I particularly enjoy the basil eggplant, and any of the Chow Fun noodle dishes. The Chow Fun noodles are cooked at a high heat which imparts a smoky and slightly charred flavor. The entrees have a good level of spice and all of the produce and meats are top quality. One of my favorite restaurants I've ever dined at. If any of you remember the old East Garden on Oakland, this is a worthy successor.

My favorite place to eat. I get the Dry Chili Chicken and the Chicken Dry Pot the most.

Chinese food is probably some of the best you can get in the Milwaukee area, however the service is rough. Bad/no communication. Food is consistently good, while the service is consistently bad

This is the most authentic Chinese food I’ve had in Milwaukee.

I hate to blow the lid off of one of Milwaukee’s best kept secrets, but this place is amazing. No matter what you order, you’re gonna love it! The best, most authentic Chinese food I’ve ever had!

I think this is the best Chinese food spot in Milwaukee

Crazy busy, the staff seemed rushed and hurried, but with some of the best food I've had. I had the cumin lamb, which was superb.

I ate here two weeks ago and I’m still thinking about it. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I’ve never had Chinese food like this in Milwaukee. The restaurant was very welcoming and comfortable. I will be coming back soon for sure.

I recommend this place to everyone I know. It’s by far my favorite Chinese restaurant! I usually get takeout as they are normally super busy inside the restaurant (because the food is so good!) It is a little pricier but the food is served steaming hot and always delicious so it is always worth it. I’ve never been disappointed here!

The menu is diverse, having various options for different types of meat, both as a dish and as a flavor for the hotpot. The variance of food that either comes normal or spicy falls in favor for spicy. 99% of the food in the menu are Chinese, with the exception of some of the sides and the drinks.

- Crab Rangoon: The Crab Rangoon was good, though the flavor of the crab was mild, the flavors are still present. 7/10

- Dumpling: The dumplings are perfect. The portion and the flavor are exquisite. The stuffing in the dumplings embody the essence of Chinese food, with the flavors bursting out as soon as you take a bite. 10/10

- Beef Wrap: The beef wrap by itself is ok at best, it being stale and cold, it’s not anything special. When paired with the hot pot though, the beef wrap becomes a good side dish. When the beef wrap is dipped, or cooked especially, the flavors become present and it makes the wrap a good pair for the hotpot. 7/10

- Mild and Herbal Hot Pot: The hot pot is amazing. With the spiciness of the mild stew and the flavors bursting out of the herbal stew, the flavors of the ingredients really pop out. Especially when the two stews are mixed together, getting meat becomes a necessity. When the meat is cooked in the stews, the flavors meld and become even better. The hotpot really gives the feeling of a family get together at your home in the holidays with how homey the eating experience becomes. 10/10

The servers were attentive and really fast to get to us even when the place was fully booked and filled to the brim with guests. They were able to get to us within 1-2 minutes of us asking for something. 10/10

The place gives off the vibe of a restaurant in the streets of China. With its homey and bustling feel, it gives the impression that it’ll serve you genuine Chinese food, which it does. The space is kind of cramped which may be a deal breaker for some. Especially with how the food pairs with the atmosphere, the restaurant exudes a welcoming presence with how it will make you feel like your family has come over for a holiday. Though the decorations could do some work, the restaurant is overall an amazing place to eat at.

Every order from SzeChuan is such a delight! We love spicy and fermented in this family, and there's plenty of dishes to fit the bill. The Mapo Tofu with pork is delightful, and it's hard to beat the szechuan dumplings.

If you have time and an appetite, highly recommend you take a group for Hot Pot.

Can't speak to the more Americanized dishes, but I can't imagine anything poor coming outta this kitchen.
