Tall Guy and a Grill Catering

I am a local wedding planner and my team and I love working with Tall Guy. They are professional, fun, organized, talented, easy to work with and of course have delicious food. I highly recommend considering them for any catering needs large or small.

Booked Tall Guy to cater a 50 person event and couldn’t have been happier! The food was delish, servers were attentive, and both set up and tear down were seamless. I would 1000% use them again and recommend them whole heartedly!

We cannot rave about Tall Guy and a Grill enough!! We used them for our cocktail hour, reception, late night food, and dessert for our wedding. Most importantly, the food was INCREDIBLE. Everyone raved about the chicken and waffle bites and soup shooter station during our cocktail hour! We did a buffet style and the food was delicious and warm throughout service.

The team was so hopeful working through allergies of our guests and helping us customize the menu to something that felt personal to us! They were extremely responsive and worked seamlessly with our venue. Do yourself a favor and work with them, you won't regret it!!

I'm not sure where to start this review because everything about our service with Tall Guy and a Grill from the tasting all the way through breakdown at our wedding was execute so professionally, flawlessly and in the most delicious way! Brit was great at helping us understand our options and working through the booking when she introduced us to Sophie who was the absolute best coordinator leading up to our big day. Our guests cannot stop talking about our food which was a huge piece of our wedding vision. They also accommodated all of the allergies in our group with ease and the dessert cart was truly the cherry on top with local Purple Door ice cream for our guests to enjoy. While we won't be having another wedding, we'll absolutely consider Tall Guy for any future event and cannot recommend their entire team enough. Thank you for making our day perfectly delicious!

Tall Guy and a Grill catered for our rehearsal dinner and wedding. The food was amazing and they accommodated our many food allergens w/o a lack of quality or flavor. We wish we could have the food all over again. BEST IN MKE BY FAR!!!

Tall Guy and a Grill catering was everything we had hoped for and more! For both our rehearsal dinner and wedding, guests raved about the food (especially the filets and appetizers). Working with them start to finish was a breeze! They were so responsive to emails and took our changing minds about the menu in stride. With all their food being fantastic at the tastings, it was difficult to pick a final menu! Melissa was a wonderful point person to work with. She drove all the way to Oconomowoc for a site visit and had no difficulties planning out a set up area at our private residence. On our wedding day she took the time to check in with us to make sure we got our hot prepared plates when we were ready to actually eat (we did some sunset photos between courses). The extra gesture of having a plate of our appetizers sitting at our seats since we missed them all during cocktail hour shows this group's attention to detail! Tall Guy and a Grill was wonderful to work with, and we would recommend them to everyone for a wedding or any other event!

I used Tall Guy for my wedding and it was amazing. Our guests have been reaching out to us about how much they loved the food. They were so easy to work with and were really good at communicating and following up on any questions we had. They deserve more than 5 stars!

We used Tall Guy for a buffet dinner for our wedding. They were so easy to work with. Erica was awesome during the planning process. We loved all the options they offer. They were able to accommodate a few special requests into the menu that made us feel great about the food we incorporated into our day. If you want a caterer that’s easy to work with through the planning process, Tall Guy is a great choice!

The taco bar had a delicious meat selection and I would have given them a 5 star rating for our daughter’s recent wedding except - there was no hot plate under the rice and beans, so they got cold quickly. That was a minor problem compared to the lack of food for the last 30+ guests! Many family and friends sat at the last three tables and there was no cheese, no roasted vegetables, no chips, and a minimum of salsa and other toppings. Plenty of meat and very cold rice and beans but nothing to go with it. To top it off, one of the guests at the last table saw some of the wait staff eating in the prep room before they were called up to the buffet! There were several last minute cancellations, so there should have been plenty of food. As the mother of the bride, I received multiple complaints. This is really too bad for a company that has had excellent reviews!!

Tall Guy truly made our wedding!!! We could not be more thrilled with how everything turned out. The food was unbelievably delicious, everything was served hot to all guests (which seems rare for large weddings nowadays!), and the entire group of staff was so kind and easy to work with, both ahead of the wedding and on the day of. They ensured both my husband and I were served first so we could actually sit down to enjoy the food, and even left appetizers by our chairs in case we did not get to enjoy them during the cocktail hour. The late night snack was an absolute hit, everyone thought the Mac & Cheese bar was so unique and fun. All of the guests complimented the food and we even had a few reach out for the name of the caterer because they were so impressed!

We loved working with Tall Guy for our wedding. They invited us to tastings when they had menu updates so that we could try all of our options. The beef short rib was a huge hit with our guests! Dinner service ran very smoothly. They helped us with our floor plan an the Schlitz Audubon. We greatly appreciate your help with our big day!

We hired Tall Guy & A Grill for our August 2024 wedding and cannot recommend them enough! The planning process with Tall Guy was seamless; they are excellent communicators, reply quickly, and take accommodating food allergies very seriously. On top of this, their food choices are extensive and delicious! Our guests raved about the food at our wedding, and some even said it was the best meal they ever had at a wedding. We would definitely recommend Tall Guy for anyone looking to cater an event!

Ever dish from apps to dinner was excellent.

My wife and I got married in July 2024 and we are from out of state and Tall Guy and a Grill was so incredible to work with. They went out of their way to ensure that our schedule was accommodated when we were in town. We first started working with Britt who was absolutely fantastic and walked us through everything and listened to our special requests. Sophie was our contact person after Britt, and she was a rockstar and answered all of our questions and took the time to explain everything to us we cannot thank her enough.

The day of the staff was so nice and so friendly, and the food was to DIE FOR. We had guests asking for seconds it was that good! We still have guests talking about how this was the best wedding food they have ever had and that they loved the family style option. If you are looking for a menu recommendation the boneless short ribs are amazing. We cannot say enough good things about Tall Guy & a Grill from their food to their professionalism our entire day was absolutely perfect!
