“Steamers (The Green Bean) is more than a cafe - it a modernized version of a simpler time and life with an attached organic grocery store and a super friendly staff. Antique chairs and tables, seating inside or out (with a view of the park and the bay) and a plethora of for food and drinks (from the Green Grocer or the coffee bar or the wine & spirits bar). The atmosphere can be laidback or buzzing--especially when there is live music from Wallace Tallman (usually weekend afternoons). Highly recommended - a real treat if you want to sit in peace and enjoy your brew or sit in the middle and enjoy the show.”

“Privato hosted our 50-person wedding on 9/9/23 and we could not have asked for a better experience. Sara was so kind, helpful, and flexible during our planning process. On the day of our wedding, the staff were so sweet and did such a great job. I believe Alyssa was managing that evening and she did an excellent job and was so accommodating. We had guests tell us it felt like our wedding was being hosted at a friend’s house rather than a venue, and we agree. It felt so personal and special thanks to Sara and the staff. We also had guests tell us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding! It was delicious and accurate to our guest orders. Also, the tiramisu was absolutely amazing! They were also able to accommodate a few tricky allergies our guests had, which we really appreciate. The space just felt so comfortable and Sara was so wonderful moving everything for us according to our discussed plan. Sara and the whole staff really made our day feel so special and relaxed, we cannot thank them enough!”

“We attended the Hypnotized event on Saturday and it was so much fun. The event space is large and the tables are well spaced so you don’t feel crowded. There are 2 bars and bathrooms. The food was better than expected given the size of the event. The band was great and there was room up front to dance…which we did the entire time. It was the perfect way to celebrate our birthdays! We highly recommend Pier 290.”

Giant Homemade Bun, Thick Thick Sliced ham My French Toast was Great (Homemade bread), the little fat Sausages were cooked perfectly, the only negative for me and it really isn’t a negative is they had breakfast potatoes rather than hashbrowns (they do have them during the week, just not on weekends) Definitely worth the drive and the wait. You won’t leave here hungry but you will leave with a to go container.”

Waitress Michaela was so sweet and attentive. Loved how ise away from the busyness of Lake Geneva. We'll be back - coming for the fish fry.”
