I am from a big city with a great food scene. I always struggle to find good options that aren't high-end steak places in the dells, and I go every year! We tried High Rock, and it has a small and simple menu. You can tell they put thought into the plates given the space they have, but I think the dishes are very intentional. The food is delicious and the waitress (Roj) was so friendly and attentive! The menu is smaller than it use to be but PLEASE if you just sit down and try the food you will love it as much as I did. For dessert we had a lavender lemonade cheesecake and OH. MY. GOD. It was so delicious and light. The perfect summer dessert!
I've ate here numerous times and wanted to try the new limited menu before the place sells. Was pretty disappointed today when I showed up because it says "open at 4" and the door was locked, waited for 10 minutes roughly and the place still wasn't open when we left. I know the food is always good, the atmosphere is awesome, and service is phenomenal. But if you say you're open at 4, should probably be open at 4.
