I don't want anyone else to know about this hidden gem. We found it after several of the areas famous supper clubs were booked over a week out. And boy, were we glad they were. This wasn't just the best meal I've had in the 20+ years of coming to the area. This was one of the best meals I've ever had. Beating out even some restaurants in Italy. The atmosphere feels warm and inviting with a pretty limited amount of tables. But this just added to the feeling that you stepped inside a portal to a mountain town in Italy. The decor is beautiful and perfectly curated. The service was so great. We happened to get sat after two LARGE parties, so understandably, we had to wait perhaps a bit longer than normal. However, again, this just made it feel like a restaurant in Europe that doesn't take away your plate and bring you your check before you're finished chewing. And once the food came... none of the wait mattered. I honestly, would have waited as long as they needed for how good the food was!We ordered the strawberry champagne soup, which was fresh and refreshing. And then we ordered steak and the chicken milanase. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and intentionally put on the plate. We've already been back, and it lived up to the hype again. Leave a message and they will call you back for a reservation. Or don't.. that way it won't stay as busy and we can visit again as soon as we're in town. :)Dietary restrictions: Severe dairy allergy that they were more than generous in making accommodations.Kid-friendliness: This is more a date night spot, but they were incredible with our 5 yr old and made her feel like the VIP table.

So, this restaurant came highly recommended. I was unfortunately disappointed in this place. When we walked in, there are tables right there and the hostess station is next to the bar behind all the tables so you have to make your way back there to check in. . We had a reservation for 7:30, we got there about 7:20 and had to wait which was fine because we wanted a drink at the bar first. I ordered a drink, but before our drinks were made the bartender asked me if we had a reservation. When I said yes, he proceeded to make our drinks. My old fashioned was really, really good, totally worth the $12, I even ordered a second! We finally sat down, around 7:30, finally had our order taken around 8, took 35 minutes to get our salads and another hour to get our food. For a Saturday night at 7:30 they were out of ALL filet dishes, which was ok because we all wanted pasta. My friends ordered shrimp Alfredo, after about an hour of waiting we were told that they only had enough shrimp for one meal, so one person had to change their meal. My friend and I ordered chicken Alfredo, which in a "nicer" place I expect a grilled chicken breast on top of my noodles. This dish had small chunks of chicken mixed in, which overall was fine, just not what I was expecting. The flavor of the Alfredo was ok, nothing special. I would go back for drinks but certainly not food. My friend ordered a refill of coke and was handed a can of coke- unopened and not poured into her glass. it was very odd. We were never asked if we needed more drinks, we had to flag her down and ask for them, also there was no salt and pepper on the table, when we went to find our server, she was sitting at the bar! There are only about 12 tables in the whole place and service was not the greatest. Will most likely not return to this place.

Reservation was for 7:30. Seated at 8:45. Bartender Tom was great. Server was the worst we’ve EVER had. Shrimp bruschetta was terrible, 4 shrimp, large pieces of bread, tomatoes galore. Couldn’t find the cheese. Salad, half carrot, uncut, end was black. Topped off with a thick slice of a beet. We didn’t even wait for our entree. Please DO NOT DINE THERE. I've eaten at Alinea, French Laundry, yada yada. This tiny, 30-seat restaurant tucked away in a tiny northern Wisconsin town is worth the hype. Its proprietor, Tony, is a skilled and educated (CIA) chef. But he's tied, so the restaurant is primarily Tony cooking for his friends. On a Sat. nite, we were the only ones that didn't know Tony personally! The food is exquisite. Genius hidden in the pines.

These owners do an amazing job. Service, cleanliness and the food is outstanding. Get the ribeye for the table appetizer.

Good was delicious. Service was very slow due to short staffing.

Way over priced. I ordered a side salad and a side of cauliflower risotto (only vegetarian options)and it cost $27.50. The food was bland and we had to wait over an hour to be seated with a reservation. I would give it zero stars if possible.

Made reservations at 5:00 when they opened. Place is decorated great, Musky photos and taxidermy fish very amusing and interesting memorabilia. We order the drink special "peach margaritas ", and was informed they ran out. It just opened at 5:00! Next we decided to try the seafood fettuccine. Pasta and Alfredo were done well, scallops done perfectly came with jumbo shrimp *note to chef, please remove tails before serving in an Alfredo sauce. We had a salad that didn't have much lettuce 1 cherry tomato and a tiny piece of carrot (nothing to speak of) but it was fresh and could have used some ground black pepper (we were not asked). The dish was $38.00. I wanted to give their Risotto a try, epic fail , more like rice pilaf . I would hate to see what Gordon Ramsey would have done with this. Told them it did not taste very good and I was still charged. The cannoli cake reigned King with this entire meal. It was delicious and would recommend highly, I may even go back for a piece to go. It's a pricey place for just Okay food.

Worst Italian restaurant I have ever been to bar none. They had some weird music playing from their DVD Tv last time I was there. The Italian calamari was beer battered and greasy. What Italian restaurant batters their calamari in beer batter?
