I've eaten at Alinea, French Laundry, yada yada. This tiny, 30-seat restaurant tucked away in a tiny northern Wisconsin town is worth the hype. Its proprietor, Tony, is a skilled and educated (CIA) chef. But he's tied, so the restaurant is primarily Tony cooking for his friends. On a Sat. nite, we were the only ones that didn't know Tony personally! The food is exquisite. Genius hidden in the pines.

I don't want anyone else to know about this hidden gem. We found it after several of the areas famous supper clubs were booked over a week out. And boy, were we glad they were. This wasn't just the best meal I've had in the 20+ years of coming to the area. This was one of the best meals I've ever had.
