Visited in October 2014. At Dobra Zupas in Beckley, WV, one West Virginian beer was available on tap, but no local bottles were offered. Despite this, the beer selection was quite impressive. The place was bustling during our visit, so we were directed to dine upstairs where we found ourselves dining alone. The Aloha sandwich we ordered was quite satisfactory.

My review is pertaining to Dobra Zupas catering service. This is not for an actual restaurant experience. In the summer of 2022 I made the decision to get married at The Gaines Estate. Dobra Zupas happens to be their in-house caterer, so I decided to go with who my venue recommended. The food was fantastic and Dobra Zupas provided the service that we paid for. However, throughout the process of wedding planning, Dobra Zupas was extremely difficult to get ahold of when trying to finalize my menus for the rehearsal and reception. When I received my invoice for the food, it had to be corrected…three times. In addition, the portion sizes at the rehearsal dinner were quite small for what we paid for. Overall, the food was wonderful and this business obviously uses high quality ingredients, but the catering management is very unorganized, which often came off as unprofessional when trying to prepare for my wedding.

Servers spent the evening loudly complaining in front of customers while the most reasonable one walked out on the job mid-service justifiably from my view. Point of sale system was non functional. I received the wrong salad for $9 that was a smaller serving than a fast food side salad. Figure things out, folks. At the very least be professional enough to avoid drama in front of customers.

Beckley's Finest! This is a very warm, welcoming and cozy place. The building is an older home converted to a resteraunt. It gives you a feel of a different place and time. Traveling through by myself it was a welcome relief from the chains. It represents Beckley in a very positive way as I was impressed. The goat cheese, jalapeño jelly burger is phenomenal. The craft beer is also a treat.

UPDATE: 3/9/23 Since the last review, I havent had any issues with doordash deliveries or any canceled orders. I really appericate it! Whatever steps you guys took to remedy the problems are working :) The food is the best around and I appericate your response! Thank you
Previous Review: The food is awesome but trying to order door dash for this resturant is frustrating to say the least. They confirm the order and then cancel it an hour later. You've got a 30-40% chance of getting this ordered online. I wish I was able to go in becuase the food is great, but I am not very mobile. So just a heads up, don't order pick up or you might go hungry.

Favorite place for ladies' lunch! Fried goat cheese appetizer is a must along with risotto for me. Atmosphere is great and love seeing friends when I go!

Worst service ever! Can’t emphasize enough how bad it was. Food took over an hour and a half. Asked for the check when I got my food, I finished eating and 30 minutes later still had not received the check. The meal I got said “two chicken breasts” it was sliced chicken and no where close to one chicken breast.
