Fujiyama Japanese Steak House (Beckley )

Decent, but not great, food and dining experience. Initially greeted by a gentleman I suspect was the owner. I offered to sit at the sushi bar. He suggested a nearby secluded table. It may have been too secluded, as I waited on a couple of occasions for the waitress to return, for more sake, possubly more sushi, and ice water. The sushi rolls were good. The unagi ordered as sashimi was a generous quantity, but I'm accustomed to it having been warmed/ toasted prior to serving. It wasn't. It was obvious to me the Sushi chefs weren't that adept, nor were they Japanese.

The food is always good and they give you enough so you are always full, I will say the last time we went the sushi wasn't great and I have always thought the soup and salad were bland.

Terrible food. Little boy got rash. Wife and I upset stomachs. Filthy bathrooms and smell by fish area. $90 for two people with two hibachi meals and two drinks. Complete waste of money. Service was great, but with bad food, who cares?

1st on patio watched everyone get served cocktails and we got ours after the appetizers.

Very disappointed in the cut down of portion sizes. It used to be the noodles are also in a side container. This picture is what a lunch portion would normally look like. I purchased a dinner meal. So now this is a dinner meal? Cutting back on portions and upping prices? Letting greed become a factor all the while the grill isn't even available? Ridiculous.
The steak wasn't seasoned well, nor the rice or noodles, vegetables were not in any sauce and not well cooked, slightly hard.I also got a sushi tray and the avocado in it was old/brown. Upping the pricing on yum yum sauce, sushi trays and the food in general when it's not high quality, good food is so disappointing! I've been coming here for years and once was my favorite restaurant. Beckley doesn't have many of those so this is heartbreaking.

Food was good and restaurant was clean. Servers brought out the wrong orders, didn’t pick up plates or refill drinks, forgot about orders, and food was waiting for 10minutes or longer on service window while servers were in the back eating or hanging out. Absolutely terrible service 👍

Too expensive

Came in tonight for dinner. William as our waiter and he was phenomenal! He was very attentive and kept checking on us to make sure we didn't need anything. He was very polite as well. He helped my son open those Japanese sodas when we had no clue how to haha. We tipped him very well and then my 12 yr old son even went into his own wallet to tip him because he was so nice to him. Our food was delicious and not much of a wait either. 10 out of 10 experience tonight. William I hope your supervisors see this and tell you again, thank you for being so great!

Would not recommend this restaurant, since not cooking in front of you the food was very bland and vegetables were hard. They called it fried rice but lacked peas and carrots and egg like you would expect. Again nothing seasoned but not the waitress fault. Not good for what you’d expect at a Japanese restaurant

They gave my cousin food poisoning it came from her chicken she passed out and had too go too the hospital but overall there food is good just don’t get any meat no hate we love this place we go like every other day

They got rid of the grill. Just lost a lifelong customer. Lowkey people you can make this stuff at home, just watch youtube videos and make it at your house for cheaper and better. I would use profane language, but this ain't worth it.
