We stumbled on this place while in WV for a work meeting. Had great reviews and we decided why not?! It was definitely a more Ruth Chris type of vibe. We felt a little under dressed. Our server was amazing. She was friendly. We quickly told her we were new to the place and she had great recommendations. Only thing I wish was that they had more fresh options. Most of them were fried. But the food was tasty. And the view was great! The vibe was low key and quiet.
We were in town from Augusta GA skiing at Winterplace. We were looking for a decent steak and the Char did not disappoint. There were five of us. Four ordered the filets and one the ribeye. All the steaks were cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The sides were great (Brussels, stuffed potato, etc) and decent portion sizes. The only problem that I had was that the tables were a little to close to each other. I walk with a cane, so the tables were a little close. The restaurant itself; amazing food and amazing staff. The price of everything mirrored the quality, staff and overall atmosphere of the place. I will definitely go there again.
