We had a lovely afternoon at Ellen’s Tea Room! I called last minute, and Anthony couldn’t have been kinder. He was so welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of.
The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, like a little home away from home. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The soup and scones were our favorites! The tea selection was fantastic, with so many great options to choose from.
It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy local spot to relax with heartfelt hospitality and to have some great tea!
If you're anywhere near Ellen's Tea Room, you must go visit. Everything from when we first called to make a reservation to when we walked out was perfect. The owners are some of the sweetest, kindest, and funniest people you will ever meet, who know so much about tea. We ended up going with the King's Tea to sample a bit of everything. I have to say there is not a bad thing on the menu from sweet to savory. Definitely try the scones and the soup, plus don't be afraid to try a new tea. Their selection is truly better than any place we have ever visited. The tea sandwiches were perfect, the portions were amazing, and the tea was honestly so good. Personal recommendations have to be the Orange Spice black tea and the Scottish Caramel Toffee Pu-erh tea. We can't wait to come back next time we're in Berkeley Springs.

An absolute gem - so glad I found this place on the Berkley Springs website because you have to know where you're going to get there - you won't stumble across it. Treated like family by the owner. Tea selection outstanding. Make a reservation and don't be late.

Loved our experience! Large variety of delicious teas and the food was outstanding. The hosts were friendly and made sure we had ever hung we needed. Location is on a beautiful property too.

To say that we were treated like family at Ellen’s Tea Room would be an understatement. The owner’s were incredible warm and welcoming. The Queen’s Tea was delicious and the tea was exquisite. We felt at home. It made our getaway to Berkeley Springs for my wife’s birthday extra special.

Had a wonderful lunch here during our weekend getaway to Berkeley Springs. The tea variety was extensive and the Queen’s Tea selection of sandwiches and deserts was very filling.The own, Tony, was very hospitable and knowledgeable about his tea and food selections. He kept us entertained and pointed us to a few other great attractions.Highly recommend reserving some time to stop at Ellen’s.
Parking: Parking is around the back of the house just across from the entrance to the tea room.
Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is on the ground floor and there’s no steps in the tea room portion; however, there is only grass between the parking lot and the patio.

Had a great experience at Ellen’s Tea Room! The food and service were both wonderful. I go to tea experiences pretty often in my own area and these are the most delicious scones I’ve ever had. So many tea options that taste just like the description. Loved it!

I have taken my mom, my sisters, and nieces here for the last 2 years for Mothers day. The food, staff, and atmosphere are incredible!! U are made to feel right at home and treated just like family! If there were 10 stars, I'd give all 10. If u have the chance to go, u will not regret it.
While I cannot attest for the quality of the food or service, I can say that it is not very customer friendly to not post anywhere online OR even at the front gate that the tearoom isn't open DURING THE POSTED HOURS THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE OPEN ON A SATURDAY. We drove way out of our way and wasted 30 minutes of time and gas to get there and the place not be open.
