Nestled in the heart of Berkeley Springs, this place is a hidden gem. From the moment I walked in, the cozy ambiance of the restaurant welcomed me like I was back to my roots. The service was unmatched; attentive and warm, it made the day feel special. We heard guest at another table speak highly of the place and of the chef. The food served here is a true masterpiece - each dish is not only beautifully presented but also boasts innovative flavor combinations that tantalize the taste buds. It's clear that the chef's passion and skill shine through in every aspect of the dining experience, making each meal truly unforgettable.>What we ordered:Mango Spritzer, Strawberry lemonade spritzer, Chickpea Masala, focaccia bread, avocado rolls, samosas, paratha bread pumpkin cake, carrot cake and sweet potato/ PB brownie.Note: EVERYTHING IS MADE FROM SCRATCH- it’s not your fast food chain where it comes out in 5mins..I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for BOLD flavors.

The Plant Powered Pantry

As a whole food plant based vegan, there are not many restaurants to choose from that not only offer true vegan (plant based) meals as well as also use local whole ingredients. While eating at home is more than satisfying, sometimes it’s nice to get a flavor perspective from another source. It was an absolute joy to find Mary’s Veg Cafe on HappyCow (a vegan restaurant finder), and my wife and I studied the menu for two days anxiously awaiting our trip, while reading her amazing 5.0 star reviews on Google. Needless to say, we were beyond excited! The food presentations alone make you feel as if you’re in a 5 star restaurant in the city, and Mary’s extensive background speaks for itself in her flavors. We will be regulars here, for special occasions, and are already looking forward to our next visit. As far as what to order? We tried as much as we could of the menu, that our stomachs would allow, and EVERYTHING was delicious and made with love. You won’t be disappointed with any option. The service was fantastic and the young lady that was our waitress had a great personality that made the dining experience fun and special. It was also great to hear some locals, who sat next to us, ranting and raving about Mary and her consistency of excellent food.Lastly, good quality food, made from scratch with whole ingredients takes time to prepare. Allow time for these meals to be prepared. This is a slow dining experience; meaning, kick back, relax, enjoy an appetizer, sip on a spritz and wait patiently as a master piece for your mouth is prepared.10/10!Vegetarian options: Whole food, REAL ingredients. This place is a dream come true for a plant-based vegan! The flavors are undeniably amazing.

Decent food, abysmal service. Even 1 star is too high for the service rating. We came in for late lunch, the restaurant was not busy, yet we waited almost 20 minutes before our server even acknowledged us. No offer of drink refills, napkins or an explanation of the food offerings. DO NOT visit this restaurant unless you want to be made to feel like a burden to the staff. We will absolutely not return.

My friends and I visited Berkeley Springs for our spring break. We found this place off of google, and decided to give it a try. When we got here the owner, Marie, was very welcoming and assisted us on what we should order. She made the environment feel very friendly. The food and drinks were amazing. We got the tropical spritzers, the Korean dumplings, pumpkin and chocolate cake, and avocado egg rolls. All of it was absolutely amazing. I definitely recommended this place.

Had my bday dinner and tge following day lunch at Mary's! The dishes are oh so tasty, as if your lived one prepared them for you. You feel the nutrients, warmth (literally and figuratively as some of the dishes were with a spicy kick to them) and beauty as you devour Mary's creations. We tried probably 75% of the menu. My favorite are dumplings and avocado rolls. The presentation of each dish is whimsical. And, the service is very personal, attentive yet not intrusive. It's a MUST if you are 8n the area. Do your health a favor, especially if the purpose of your trip is mineral water Springs therapy.

A breath of freshness in a world of mediocre franchises. The best meal we had during a week long trip in WV.

Hubs and I stopped in for lunch on my birthday weekend getaway, slightly apprehensive after several bad meals in town - this was THE highlight! We’ve eaten veg meals around the world and this easily competes with some of the best we’ve ever had. It’s Just absolutely delicious, and Mary is a delight. Her spritz with infused honey and ice cubes is utterly restorative and tasty, as is the peach apricot tea. Don’t pass on the veg dumplings, insanely good with her homemade kimchi. Hubs (full carnivore, btw) got the chickpea masala and proclaimed it one of the best he’s ever had. I got the Filipino pancit noodles, and the broth and tender veg will literally cure whatever ails you, exceptionally flavorful and warming. We passed on dessert sadly because 1, we were stuffed, and 2, I had birthday cake at the hotel, but everything looked and sounded amazing. Mary herself waited on us, and she’s so kind, and generous with her story, you’ll want to come back for her alone. But this spot is 100% worth going out of your way for, a gem of a restaurant, vegetarian or otherwise. It’s worth noting she has a second kitchen that enables adding local meats or seafood options to some dishes, should you be wary to go full veg. But the meat wasn’t missed whatsoever. Support this spot, it’s a keeper!!

If you have not been to this restaurant, you are most definitely missing out on an unparalleled experience. Fortunately, this fabulous gem of a cafe is open for lunch and dinner of Friday and Saturday and lunch on Sunday so everyone has some availability in their schedule when they can enjoy the many wonderful things on offer and enjoy the total dining experience here. Each dish is an absolute feast for the senses. Exquisite aromas, perfectly prepared and masterfully seasoned food perfectly plated with an artist's flair. Every plate is picture perfect. Each bite is a flavor experience with layers and levels of simplicity and complexity. If you, too, are looking for a place to enjoy a total dining experience, then the place you want to go to is Mary's Vegetarian Cafe LLC where every meal is meaningful and memorable. To me, the logo for Mary's Vegetarian Cafe LLC is absolutely on point because it evokes in a single image how masterful this chef is with how she composes and seasons the food she prepares. In each dish you will find an exquisite balance of flavors and textures with the fabulous visual appeal of beautiful natural color combinations that you will remember with great fondness. Be forewarned though, the food and dining experience at Mary's Vegetarian Cafe LLC is not something you can partake of once and check it off to move on to another place because a meal at this cafe is so delightful that you will want to go there often. I highly recommend that you do so because life is too short to eat food that isn't absolutely fabulous.
