I pass through this area several times a year, and always wanted to give this lovely place a try. That was a mistake. The server was friendly whenever I saw him, which wasn't often. I was the only one in the restaurant at first (it was about 3 pm). I got the chopped "tender" beef stack. It took 45 minutes before it came to my table, and it was lukewarm and not particularly tender. I would have asked my server to have the AuJus heated up, but by the time he wandered back, I was done. The cole slaw was great. I gave the guy my credit card, and even that took forever. I wondered if he went shopping. I won't be back.

I usually don’t leave bad reviews but our experience was so awful. I took my fiancé to the Morgan Tavern at the Country Inn for his birthday and we waited an hour and a half for our lunch. Others came in after us and finished their meals long before us. The food finally came when we were the last people in the pub. The poor server took the brunt of everyone’s ire but the cook was to blame. Probably stoned or something. If you’re looking for a quick meal definitely not here. Food was mediocre when it finally came. Try somewhere else!

Our waitress Mary was one of the most pleasant, efficient, waitresses we have ever had. Her humor made our evening very enjoyable. We live south of Buffalo, headed to Virginia. So glad we stopped here. It’s a bright spot in our trip that we will remember.

First off, our server was new, and I don’t blame her for the issues we experienced. I initially asked for the beer flight to try the local beers but was told the selection included Bud Light, Yuengling, Troegs, and some other generic options. Disappointed, I decided to order wine instead. After waiting over 20 minutes, my wine finally arrived, with the explanation that they had trouble locating the bottle.

My wife ordered the chicken and biscuits, which were served burned and dry. I opted for a shrimp pasta dish, and when it arrived, it was incredibly disappointing. Large chunks of unmelted parmesan cheese, seemingly cut with a knife rather than grated, were thrown on top of the pasta. The pasta itself was overcooked and had a rubbery, waterlogged texture. The shrimp were tiny, cheap, pre-cooked pieces reminiscent of something you’d buy frozen at Walmart, and the dish lacked any flavor whatsoever. After two bites, I told the server I didn’t want it.

The waitress, who was very kind, spoke to her manager. The manager offered only $6 off the $22 meal and took the plate away.

This restaurant, like many others, seems to be a place that once had style and good food but has clearly gone downhill over time. If it weren’t attached to a hotel, I doubt it would still be operating at this level. With so many family-owned restaurants in the area, I would recommend passing on this experience.

Cindy I'm so sorry that the person teaching you was awful, you were a delight. The food was mediocre, I think that was maybe the most bland steak I've ever had, and the lady with the blonde hair and thick eyeliner training Cindy kept rushing us through our order. Definitely not worth 70$

We dined here on Saturday. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was excellent.

However, we had mixed feelings about the food. The drunken mushroom was delicious, but it came with too few mushrooms for the $12.99 price tag. The Country Inn Chicken & Biscuits offered a generous portion, but it was a bit too salty for our liking.

On the positive side, the side dishes were all tasty and well-portioned.

We might return when we’re in the area to see if our experience with the food improves.

I've eaten here 2x for dinner. Attentive friendly servers- even though the place was crowded, great food,we had a Reuben, a Weck and the meatloaf special. The French fries and sweet potato fries were wonderful and the mixed roasted root ones were delicious. Unfortunately we didn't have any room for dessert.. Next time!
Thanks so much for making our stay even better!

Apps are small and over priced. Entrées were sub par. Honestly hilarious that there is a sign that asks you to dress appropriately. But then they serves "house made" potatoe chips as a side. Unless you want an upcharge for french fries. And for some reason you cannot get a baked potato until after 4pm 🤣 Staff was awkward but good.

We had a terrible experience last night, as we were kept waiting at an empty hostess stand while very angry overworked waitresses ran around us stating "one minute" which lasted 15 minutes. The manager was in a booth with laptop ignoring everyone except his buddies despite chaos around him.

As a food lover, I love to visit new and highly rated restaurants. This has to be the worst service I've ever encountered. I was surprised by the reviews, It's supposed to be this elegant restaurant/hotel, but they will treat you like trash

My husband and I went to this establishment tonight and stood there for 10 minutes, waiting to be sat at a table. Waiters stood a couple feet away from us and didn’t say a word or indicate to wait a moment. We both wore business casual suits and were treated like we were homeless. Thank god we got an airbnb instead of this hotel/restaurant.
