A couple months ago was first time we had dinner here, having lived in Berkeley Springs for 15+ years; been back twice since!
This restaurant is just one part of The Country Inn: also included are inn-like rooms/suites/cottages on site, a beautiful garden surrounding the Inn, as well as a fully operating spa, all in a historic like setting.
Their service: excellent! (ie. The attendants helped hold open doors for us, so we could get our wheelchair in and out of the restaurant.)
The atmosphere: also excellent (the dining area has been redone; has a decent sized banquet room, as well as a separate bar area and a separate room for patrons looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner in a relaxed setting)
The food (that's what really has us returning): We recommend for appetizers their fried green tomatoes and their pot stickers, and, when available, their fried pierogi ( OUR ONLY WISH IS THAT THE FRIED PIEROGI WERE OFFERED YEAR ROUND). Their artisan salad is as good as it looks (offering with it is some very tasty balsamic vinegrette that had to be hand made); today, husband would have had the French Onion Soup, only it was Summer ( some of the best I've had); the crabcake was also tasty, with crunchier outer side than I've had before; (also had breakfast here one time; husband had an omelet and potatoes that he enjoyed/ I had pecan crusted french toast (there was a lot- had to take some home! Would recommend); Next time, we're going to leave room for desert!

I will never be returning to this spot. My husband and I decided to go here for lunch after going to the Roman Bathhouse. We were told it would be a 20 min wait at 1:30pm (which was fine, we walked around). We returned to be seated. Our waitress is the reason I am writing a review. We saw her a total of 3 times. Once when she took our order, when she brought out our food, and got my husband a refill on his drink. We waited 30 minutes for our food without any communication from our waitress, she never checked in on us that whole time. The waitress didn't remember my husband's drink and automatically assumed it was water without confirming. She didn't ask if our food was good or anything. The food was average, nothing special. I got the Apricot Chicken with Balsamic. My husband got the Stacked burger, which was shredded beef but was not advertised on the menu as such. After we finished our food, we waited an additional 10min to see if she would ask us if we were ready for the check, but she never came back. I ended up asking another staff member if we could get our check. They gave us the wrong check, partially my fault because we should have checked before paying. They charged us for two kids meals when we clearly didn't have kids with us. I went back to the hostess stand, again because we haven't seen our waitress this whole time. I told her what had happened, added up what would have been our total and we corrected it. I spoke with the manager to let her know what happened. She said the kitchen was backed up. The manager did apologize and was respectful during the interaction. We totally get these things happen, our issue is that our waitress did not communicate with us at all.

The food was really delicious and our server Bodie was extremely nice and provided amazing service. The prices are great especially for the food quality as well. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Berkley Springs. A must try if you are looking for a nicer dinner option. Make a reservation early.

Staying at an Air B&B with friends and decided to dine out for dinner. What a charming place with a lot of history. Very good food! I hope to be back!

We visited the restaurant on Thursday evening. The atmosphere was very nice and our meal was also very good. We were disappointed to see SEVERAL menu items were no longer available. Our server was slow, awkward and somewhat sloppy. I didn’t like that he handled our glasses at the top instead of the bottom. The host picked at his hair and face when he wasn’t seated people.
It seemed as though the wait staff all needed more training

I like 1/2 off app night on Tuesdays. There are 2 GF options: bang bang shrimp and Gen Tso cauliflower. Both are very good

Awesome place! The atmosphere is really old style, almost like an English Pub. I wish I lived closer, I would be a regular!

Chicken Christy was decadent. Fresh salad with amazing, fresh, chunky, almost spicy, blue cheese dressing. Pleasant staff. Tasty wine selections.

Stopped in for dinner on a weekday... Service was friendly, but slow. The mocktails are interesting and the cranberry mule I had was very good. Our food was good, but nothing was exceptional. Overall, a good place to eat in an historical setting.
