We frequent Berkeley Springs town, however, this was the first time at the Inn restaurant. The food was GREAT, the service was good and we all enjoyed the place with two families and kids.

Went for the lunch special and was told there was a 10-15 minute wait. Observed 9 tables empty as well as both sides of the bar. Can not understand why they would turn away business from the LOCALS!
Great service and food
I'm going to start this off by saying my husband is not a regular drinker but he said he would become a day sipper with the caramel appletini 🤣🤣
I got the Wellington meatloaf it was very good and the wedge salad was amazing with the blue cheese dressing. My husband got the tavern Burger and he is a hamburger snob and said it was really really good. Our waitress was amazing as well. Definitely will be back to stay overnight, soak our feet in the springs and definitely come back for dinner.

We had here breakfast and dinner and both meals were delicious. The meatloaf wellington was outstanding. The sauces and side dishes were excellent too. I’m not sure if that’s the case but everything tasted like it was made fresh from scratch.

My husband and I wanted to lunch here, midweek, just shy of noon. We were told they were too busy with take-out orders and there would be a 20-minute wait. We said that was no problem, we would love to sit and have a cup of coffee while we waited for the kitchen to catch up. The host refused to seat us.
We were stunned. The back-up in the kitchen should have in no way prevented us from having a seat in a near-empty dining room and waiting. For a business in the hospitality industry, the lack of hospitality was astounding.
We stayed at the hotel, so we ate both dinner and breakfast at The Country Inn Restaurant.
We were told in no uncertain terms that reservations are required, and in fact, we tried to adjust our dinner reservation by 1 hour and were told that would be impossible- fair enough, but my expectations were quite high based on what seemed like an intense demand for a spot at this restaurant.
We were also told to make reservations for a Wednesday morning breakfast (it was only us and 1 other table for the entirety of our meal).
I found the prices to be a bit high and the food to be fine, but not fantastic.
Our service at dinner was only adequate. Our server at breakfast was better.
I appreciate the convenience (if not flexibility) of eating at the same location we stayed at, but I would have expected higher quality food, service, and atmosphere based on the prices/difficulty in obtaining reservations.
Speaking of atmosphere - the lobby is historic and charming.
The dining room feels like a cafeteria with tablecloths.
Our table was so wobbly that every time I cut my steak- I feared that our plates would slide off of our table!
I don't plan on returning to this restaurant. There are many other dining choices in Berkeley Springs.

Very pleased with the food quality and price - even for a relatively large group. Presentation was surprisingly nice as well! Service left something to be desired, as the waiter seemed very inexperienced and repeatedly leaned or reached across diners, and asked for us to hand him things while we were eating. But otherwise a good experience.

We went here for dinner primarily because there was no other place in town open. While waiting 30 mins for a table we saw at least 3 parties leave when they were told they had no tables available. Apparently you have to have reservations which is convenient for the restaurant but not patrons. At least half of the tables in the dining room and tavern were open and ready or weren't cleaned. We wanted the tavern for it's cozy feel. It was not available for 2 more hours the host said. Service was extremely slow. Beers came about 15 mins after request. One lady canceled her beer after waiting so long they were finished eating. I also waited at bar for a drink for at least 15 mins. The lights in the dining room are way too bright. Overall food was ok. Mashed potatoes were cold and you call this a salad? Probably would not return unless they change some things and add a little more options on menu like more than one steak option. Hire some more enthusiastic staff if you don't want to keep turning away business income.
