I have been a frequent customer here for a number of years, The burgers and the pollo loco sandwich are amazing, the key lime pie is one of the best I have ever had. I've brought family, friends, customers and business acquaintances here. Everyone of them has had a great experience.

Wonderful pirate themed restaurant close to American Public University. Drop in for a wonderful sandwich or wrap and don’t leave before you have the key lime pie for dessert.

Love the establishment, great food and awesome owners! All down to earth people and the customer service is excellent! Would recommend to family and friends 10/10.

Love the pirate theme decoration and the island feel to it (I'm from the island). Came here with my fiance and loved it. Always passed thru the window but never went inside till last night. Loved it even when there was a mixed up on our food and they was short staffed -one employee Noah was amazing at helping us out and still making things right even our waitress was amazing. Love this place ?. Can't wait to go back ?

Had a salad and mom had a ham and turkey sandwich. Great taste, reasonably priced. Friendly service. And pirate stuff everywhere. What is not to like? It is seriously balls out the the pirate theme.

Ended up here unintentionally. Now we have to go back to try the other menu items. Key Lime Pie is out of this world.

The food was good but the smell of grease was overwhelming. Left there with our clothes and hair saturated with the smell of grease. They should invest in proper ventilation for the kitchen. We'll order carryout if we decide to order from there again

Just found this little place in downtown Charles Town, and have loved everything I have tried so far. Great sandwiches and sides, quick and friendly staff, and a fun atmosphere make this a place I won't mind stopping into again.

Love the whole theme of the restaurant and have never been disappointed by their food, the fries taste Identical to wingstop who has the absolute best fries in the world, so that's a massive compliment. Gotta try the Cuban coffee, and they deliver through DubVEatz! You can't beat it!

The food is soooo good. The staff is amazing. It's such a fun experience for sure.

My wife and I enjoy patronizing local businesses and restaurants. We feel it's important for our community to support these local business owners. So after several months of talking about it we finally decided to try Calico Jacks last night. The first thing I noticed when we walked through the door was a strange odor. While sitting at our table my wife began having an allergic reaction to something that appeared to be burning in the kitchen. I don't know whether or not it was a dirty grill or burning spices. Her eyes were watering severely and she was not able to finish her meal as she had to walk outside and get some fresh air. My experience was a burning in my sinuses which later became a tightness of my chest, I guess what someone would experience if they were having an asthma attack. Neither of us have asthma or any allergies. This could've all have been coincidental but it occurred simultaneously between both myself and my wife. Now let's discuss the food. Because I love this area and I really want businesses to succeed I feel it's important to be honest with the owners and management. We did not enjoy our meal. We ordered the Kracken so we could both enjoy many different menu items. The meal lacked flavor. The beans tasted as if they simply came out of a can and someone placed raw onion on top of them. As far as the Jambalaya is concerned, you would be better off eating Zatarians.

The fish and chips here are just the best! Awesome service too, and a great atmosphere. Really love how it's decorated inside. Great place to take kids or a date, and they have beer/wine as well.

Great atmosphere, good food, bad service. Another reviewer described the waitress as "friendly as a beehive that had been poked" and that is spot on. The food took 40 minutes and she never said a word to us during the wait. The cook actually came out to ask if we'd been helped after about 20 minutes so I assume there was a mix up with our order. He was very nice. The food was good and there was plenty of it.

The food unfortunately was inedible. I asked for a hamburger medium rare and was not told that they only cooked meat well done. The burger was hard and robbery and tasted terrible. My husband ordered the fish and chips and got two very small pieces of fish. He had asked for a substitution of beans and rice for the fries. The beans and rice came out cold and the portion was tiny.
