Waited 20 minutes for food. Sat at a table and watched up to 10 people order after me and get their food. When I went up to check on the status of my food, (once they were done talking with the other worker) walked slowly over to the food warmer to pull out the food and put them in the bag. Why did it take so long to get the food?? The garlic knots and pepperoni bombs were hard as a rock. I couldn't eat them at all. Food isn't cheap here and if I'm going to spend my money, at least let me be able to eat the food.

The only good pizza here was the plain pizza because they put an additional seasoning on top, the meat and pepperoni were lacking flavor. I don't particularly recommend this place.

This is a pizza place inside of Hollywood Casino. They have shut down the casino's buffet so this place is quite busy. You stand in line & order pieces of pizza. The staff was slow in making pizzas so limited choices. We waited until a pepperoni pizza came out of oven so we got back in line but by the time the 3 people in front of us got their pizza the pepperoni pizza was gone. When we finally got pizza slices they were very good! Excellent crust. Courteous staff
It was my Mom's 80th birthday and I was so disappointed in the waiter not giving her special attention. First, he brought her meal out last, not sure if you train your waiters but hers is a tip. You always plate the VIP at the table first. He did bring a very nice desert to her, but he dropped it off at the top of the table, did not even server her the desert nor wish a happy birthday. Wasn't a special moment for my mom like a wanted it to be. Found out the next day my Mom likes the steak house not the terrace. So, its a bit my fault for not booking the right restaurant.
It was an activity - some friends and I had a fun night out hvi g dinner, playing the ponies, then a few slots. The prime rib at the buffet was good. The only negative is the pervasive cigarette smoke. I am hypersensitive though do it any by have bothered others as much.
The restaurant was very busy and our server covered several tables, each with several guests. After placing the drink order and saying we were getting the buffet, she didn't get back to us for a half an hour. We saw her working other tables, just not enough staff.
We really enjoy the experience and like coming to the Charles Town races and the Skyline Terrace. Work schedules have not allowed us to come as much as we would like. We were there a few months ago and the same issue seems to keep occurring. Some of the foods on the buffet are not kept hot when they should be. Also we could not hear the race announcer in the dinning room this time. That has was not an issue before.

I have eaten at the Skyline Terrace a few times and it is a good place to eat and enjoy the horse races. I rated the food and value as good and not higher because the buffet was not properly supplied with enough food at times and it seemed like the servers and food staff were simply not able to keep up. Food also sat too long in the warmer trays and became cold or there was not enough freshly made and heated food to go around. But I like the Terrace and with some improvements, it would be much better.
My 1st experience there was Great, while this time, the hot food was not hot and my waiter had other tables a good distance from my table, leaving him to only visit one time, while I had other servers were helpful and assisted my wife and I.
We enjoyed knowing that our table was for the whole night. The hostess said we could actually eat dinner or have drinks, leave and gamble, come back get dessert, whatever. We got the buffet, it was ok-not the best value for the money. We enjoyed being able to bet on and watch the horse races from any seat in the restaurant with large viewing windows all around (and small tvs at every table was also a plus!). Service was Phenomenal! Betting window attendants were also super nice and helpful! We will be back - Next time we are ordering off the menu to see if that makes a difference in the food.
Date nite for my hubby and myself. We love to go for nice buffet and watch the horse races. It is a really fun thing to do. The entire front is glass window so the races are right there to witness while you eat. Make a reservation! After the race, and dinner, (10:30pm) we went to the event center located there to see Jay Leno. He was good but the seating HORRIBLE!!! Stuffed in tighter than an airplane seat. I'm not exaggerating! I had an extremely obese man in 1/3 of my seat! Thank God I don't eat much! Just saying"....and FYI!!! DON"T go see a show there! They are breaking every fire code.
This is a very cool place to go. The roast beef was delicious (they had rare) as was the shrimp and the dessert. The salad bar was weak and the temperature was too warm. I'm not sure if the a/c was broken but it was noticeably warm. The betting is conveniently located in the dining room. It has a fantastic view of the track, the server was attentive and friendly. All in all a very good experience. Too bad about the air conditioning problem.
