Nice local ice cream/sandwich shop or sandwich/ice cream shop. Right off the main drag in Charles Town they have an indoor ordering window and outdoor ordering window in their large patio which is pretty darn nice. The sandwich menu is pretty eclectic including some interesting veggie option(s). The ice cream isn't anything exciting, but their signature sundae looks amazing with maple syrup and almond brittle.

They have a standard ice cream walk-up window around the back by the parking lot and a service window inside. We opted for the service window and ate our ice cream inside that day. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and the ice cream was excellent (scoop, not soft serve) with a wide variety of flavors and the option to make a sundae out of any of them. Reasonably priced as a very large cone and a sundae came to only $8. Inside was very clean with some local art and disney art on the walls.

Busy little hole-in-the-wall but everything is hand-dipped, hand-made, and made to order. Well worth the wait. I recommend ordering online.

My four-year-old niece told us we had to go here because they had hoola hoops! The Caverns is just a slice of old-timey adorable. They make their own ice cream (delicious), the scoops are RIDICULOUSLY huge, and they have hot fudge and syrups! They also serve Black Dog coffee, so a coffee shake is my plan for next time. We didn't get to try their food, but the menu looked so good! Hot dawgs, sandwiches--even a vegan tofu sandwich that looked great.The people behind the counter were as sweet as the ice cream!The inside of the shop is classy; giclée photo arrangements hang on walls and inviting chairs are arranged in cozy nooks. Out back you can sit on their big patio and play Cornhole and hoola hoops, which is exactly what we did after my niece ate all our ice cream. ???? The patio is pet-friendly. What a fun place for families and friends to hang out!
