During our visit to WV from NC, we stumbled upon Barkada's through Google and as a Filipino, I was genuinely intrigued to experience it. Hearing rave reviews heightened my anticipation. We sampled the lumpia, which I found to be a unique twist on the classic dish – I'd even describe it as "fancy lumpia." My husband opted for the spam burrito, while I tried the beef bistek. Regrettably, the beef bistek didn't quite meet my expectations; it diverged significantly from the traditional Filipino flavor profile I was anticipating. However, I understand that Barkada's prides itself on fusion cuisine, which might explain the deviation.

We had a fantastic time at Barkadas celebrating my mother, father, and mother-in-laws birthdays!Barkadas was great when it came to booking the reservation, giving us their fantastic party table. This was a bit more nestled in on the right, giving it a much more private atmosphere for our celebration which was much appreciated. All of the staff was incredibly sweet and courteous, especially when it came to me not realizing a dish I had ordered had cheese, and having it remade for me without! They really went the extra mile for our service.Prices are incredibly reasonable for the portion sizes, and the menu is much more unique than many in the Charleston area. The Bahn Mi, and Spam Burritos were some of the tables favorites!Cannot recommend you check them out enough! Fantastic experience all around.

Extremely noisy, very hot. So hot in fact I couldn’t breathe and had to go outside several times. Food was overpriced, overly salty, yet somehow bland. I was hoping for more authenticity, this was extremely disappointing. It took a long time to get our order in and when we got our food I got the tiniest sliver of spam and an egg on my food which was half cooked (egg whites still runny, not just yolk). Now I have indigestion and my wallet is $50 lighter. Probably won’t be back even though we wanted to love it and usually we try new restaurants and love them.

Loved the lumpia, but brussel sprouts lacked char and sauce. Chicken sandwich and salmon bowl were great, but the build-your-own burger was too salty. Ban mi sandwich was mediocre. Some won ton chips were greasy. Good service, clean restaurant, pleasing atmosphere.

The food was OK i am a picky eater, and there were not very many things that I liked. However, what I like most about this place is the way that it was set up. It was a fun, welcoming place to eat. Customer service was great

My girlfriend and I come here often and we love it. The food is great and the half off wine on Wednesdays is awesome! The bowls are great to switch up what you get every time. Great option in Charleston!

Outstanding food and service. The bao buns are authentic and the young lady who was our server was top-notch. Excellent all around.

Great food and great service. All meals I have had here have been excellent. Love their brunch!
Brunch was delicious. Must try dinner. Nice staff. Fun place to dine. Great dining option in Charleston.
I love Filipino foods. That being said this is kind of an infusion. I never understood why they don't have more restaurants or take out places.
