“Classic friendly dive bar, everyone was so friendly and the beers were cold. I was stopping through Charleston on a larger Amtrak trip and this was one of my favorite watering holes I discovered during my time there. I was there for an hour or two during Jazz night too which was an even more fortunate coincidence.“

“Nice neighborhood bar feel. One feels as family when visiting. It truly is a place where everybody knows your name. Good selection of domestic beers. Decent selection of spirits. Not high end (which appeals to me) kind of place, a causal, relaxing and conversational atmosphere.“

“Buck's reminds me of one of those cool old hole-in-the-wall joints your dad or an uncle would tell you about from back in his day. Except Buck's is a stand-alone building. Don't go looking for a mixed drink...no no. Bottled beer, a pool table, and a jukebox are what's on the menu here! And some nice people (but they're not on the menu..).“

“I have been very close friends with many Avengers throughout many cities here in WV and other states for over 35 years... I have been to several of their clubhouses in WV, OH, IL, IN and MI and have always been very welcomed and had a great time... I will be going back to the clubhouse in Mt Hope, WV October 16th for their annual Bridgeday Party and the clubhouse in Charleston, WV October 30th for their annual Halloween Party... I know they will be a great time and they are welcoming everyone to attend...“

“I realized I posted a review on google but not here! The transition from Vino’s to the Blvd Grill is honestly what downtown Charleston has needed for so many years. All of the staff are amazing but I do have to say since Billie has been there it is seriously THE PLACE to be downtown. You wanna eat? They got you. Wanna play pool? They have 2 diamond tables. Wanna play darts? They have FOUR boards. Not interested in playing anything? The whole bar area is open to just hang, whether it be at the bar, the several high top tables, or the few booths they have away from to games. Listen, I might be biased, but as a frequent flyer of downtown for many, many years, I assure you this is the atmosphere Charleston has needed. And something I didn’t mention in my google review is that they also have an upstairs area that can be rented out for private events!“

“Excellent, catering and delicious food went beyond my expectations! They were able to provide my family with service when my family was in need for last-minute catering services! Would recommend 100%! The chicken salad sliders were out of this world!“

“When they told me they had separate fryer that was dedicated to gluten-free, I was sold. And the food and service was amazing! I have celiac disease, and for the last 25 years going out to eat has always been so hard (with risk of getting sick). It’s still often that I get confused looks when I mention “gluten”, other places…but to have a dedicated fryer or cooking area that never happens! That made my night.. super delicious! Cannot wait to go back!! 🙏🥳“
