The Bear's Den has some of the best food in town. For bar food, it's outstanding. Pretty standard American fare, but their kitchen really does an outstanding job, and it's affordable. The room is quite bright with fluorescent lighting which I could do without.

I have enjoyed Dine-in often typically good atmosphere, good food and service. I took advantage of free lunchtime delivery for the first time. Ordering was easy and good service from person answering. I was surprised at how quick delivery was ordered around 12pm delivered around 12:13. Delivery person was polite and professional. I was pleasantly surprised that my fries were hot, crispy, and delicious. Thanks for the quick delivery!

What a great little hidden gem! The food was affordable and tasty. It was the best little bar I’ve been to in a long time.

Interesting little place. Have to look hard for there’s not a lot of signage. Look for address on the awning, step inside with a sign & arrow pointing downstairs….. walk down a small hall and voilà…. You see people sitting at tables !! Nicolette was our bartender/server. Very nice young lady. The bar stool cushions need a little TLC but the vibe is terrific.
The special today was Turkey, lettuce, tomato wrap with sweet potato fries. Large enough for us to split. It was moist, tasty & plenty of turkey on it. Definitely recommend to stop for lunch.

A little hard to find but worth it. Bear's Den inside an office building, in basement. Enter the building, go down the stairs, turn right down hallway to the entrance. I had a Ribeye Steak sandwich and my wife had a Fried Green Tomato BLT and broccoli cheddar soup. Everything was excellent.

If you're passing through Charleston, WV, and looking for a quick, clean, and delicious stop, Bear's Den is a hidden gem you won't want to miss. Conveniently located right off the interstate, it's a perfect spot for locals and travelers alike.

The service here is commendable. The food was really great too. One of the standout features is their surprisingly large beer selection, which offers a wide variety of options to satisfy any palate. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, Bear's Den delivers a delightful experience that's both convenient and satisfying.

So hit or miss. Rueben wasn't on rye and was mostly dressing with the tiniest amount of kraut. My kid wouldn't eat the grilled cheese either. It smells like Pam butter spray. Fries were overcooked and undersalted. But when it's good is great.
