I ordered & paid for 2 cakes which came to 200.00. I decided to not have my father’s celebration of life because of complicated grief. I gave her ample time to not make the cakes. She kept my money & refused to refund it. What a sick individual. I gave two weeks notice not to make it & my father had passed. Hopefully karma deals with this person.

Cakes by Appointment is awesome! Petra made our wedding cake, and the process was easy and straightforward from setting up the tasting to cutting the cake. We knew Petra was on top of everything we discussed, and the cake came out looking even prettier than the photo we shared with her as inspiration. Most importantly, the cake was totally delicious and super moist! I would definitely choose Cakes by Appointment again for events in the future.

Ordered 2 birthday cakes long distance to be delivered to Tidewater for the birthday. The cakes were fantastic and of course the cakes were here and waiting. We got a 6" chocolate and a 6" white cake.

What a wonderful place!! Petra is nothing short of amazing! I ordered some custom cupcakes for Valentines day. I emailed Petra pictures of what I had in mind and what she created was 10x better! Prices were reasonable and she also made suggestions on how to keep the cost of the order down. I also had seen some chocolate covered strawberries and she happily agreed to make them per my request. She delivered them (walked through the snow!!) since her shop was only a block or so away because I was out of town that day. I don't know many [ANY] bakeries in Charleston who would do that?! :) Petra emailed/texted me and kept me updated from the time I placed the order til the time they were delivered, sending me pictures of her ideas, the completed product, and even his reaction once delivered. I cannot say enough great things about Cakes By Appointment and would highly recommend to anyone looking for something special.
